Spotted: NEW Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Makeup

If you love Revlon (and I'm guessing you do if you're reading this blog) then you're going to love my next few blog posts. There are lots of new Revlon products now popping up in stores, and here's one of them!

Thanks to reader Michelle (@chaliboo on Instagram) for this sighting. Michelle spotted the new Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect foundation at her local Bed Bath & Beyond this week and kindly shared some pics with us:

There are 11 shades in this display, ranging from Ivory to Cappuccino.

If this product looks familiar to you, then you're probably doing the same thing that I'm doing, and thinking of the now-discontinued Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Makeup, which I actually reviewed HERE back in 2012 (and did not like). I'm really wondering if this new version has the same mousse-like consistency, or if it's a completely different formula. Since the word "mousse" is NOT in the title of this new product, I'm wondering if it's more cream-like this time around? Color me intrigued!

Have you spotted this new Revlon foundation in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks so much, Michelle, for the great sighting and pics!

  1. I can't wait to try this!!! I love the finish of the airbrush mousse makeup, but I'm not a fan of the way the formula feels during application. I haven't been disappointed by a Revlon foundation yet!

  2. When I first saw this on another beauty blog, I was confused as to what the difference is between this and the regular Photoready foundaton? Doesn't the regular Photoready foundation contain shimmer? Or am I mistaken? I'm curious and confused!

  3. This already came out in Australia and i was quick to snap it up. The shades run darker now. I think its because they changed the sunscreen actives- its definitely not a broad spectrum sunscreen so don't rely on this for sun protection. Nude is now the perfect shade. Before nude was too light, had to mix it with Natural Beige. The formula is pretty much the same to be honest, still glittery but maybe not as glittery. But its heaps easier to clean my foundation brush now, just soap and water will do. Before i had to use oil and shampoo to clean my brushes.

  4. The old Photoready Foundation is going to be discontinued and this is the "new and improved" formula.

    1. Ah ok. I was like color me confused because don't they already have this and an airbrush one?! Neither worked for me. If it wasn't sparkles my skin was too dry. Oh well.

  5. I agree with you G, I wasn't a fan of the mousse one at all, but I would love to try this as well if the formula is different.
