The Halloween 2014 Pumpkin Polishes Have Landed

I've been covering the Blue Cross Halloween Pumpkin Polishes (and the Blue Cross Summer Brights and Holiday Snowman Polishes) for several years now. It's an event I look forward to every year, but I have to admit that for the past few Halloweens, our beloved little Pumpkin Polishes sort of lost their steam. Last year's polishes looked very much like the year before, and I was kind of expecting this Halloween's collection to look exactly like last year's.

BUT NO. We've got a brand new bottle design this year and some fun new glitters! Many thanks to reader Jamie for sharing pics of the two displays she spotted at her local Rite Aid recently. Take a look!

As Jamie noted, the Glow in the Dark collection this year features the standard shades that Blue Cross offers every year. But the the bottle shape is adorable, right? If you forgot what the previous Pumpkin Polishes looked like, click here for a refresher.

For the glitters, these look about the same as previous years, with the exception of three new skull-and-crossbones glitters that Jamie purchased. Here are the pics she shared of all three:

As you can see, these all contain matte skulls and iridescent hex glitters in a clear base. Jamie said that you definitely have to fish for the skulls, and the blue and pink skulls in particular required a toothpick to help get them out of the bottle.

Since Blue Cross updated the bottle shape of the Pumpkin Polishes, I'm now very curious to see if they'll update the Holiday Snowman Polishes for 2014. Last year's Snowman Polishes hit Rite Aid at the end of October, so we won't have to wait too long to find out!

Have you spotted the 2014 Pumpkin Polishes in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks again, Jamie, for the great sighting and pics!

PS: Don't forget that the Bonita Halloween 2014 Collections are at Rite Aid now as well (CLICK HERE for pics).

    1. I believe you can also find the at regional chains (for example, I think that HEB in Texas sometimes carries these). Sorry, I wish I had more info for you! :(

  2. Is it creepy that when I saw these at Rite Aid, the blue and pink glitter looked like babies to me rather than skulls? 😳

    2. I did too and could tell they would take a lot of fishing so I passed.

  3. Oh I need me skulls and bones. I saw these the other day but the glitters didn't really register with me that there were skulls and bones! Now I must have them and must remember where I saw them!!! LOL Thanks for the heads up!

  4. The skull and cross bones are so cute! There don't seem to be many per bottle though, so for $4 it might just be better to buy straight glitter and just layer them

  5. Ladies who have access to Meijer should get their pumpkins there, as they're priced at 2.99 vs. 3.99 at RA and seem to have the same color selection.
