Please note: due to the high volume of submitted photos, I apologize that I cannot feature every submitted photo in these posts. If you have submitted photos of any of these products and you don't see your photos here, I am so sorry--I try to be as fair as possible and, if I receive multiple submissions, I try to use the first photos that I received (or I use my own photos if I've taken them before I receive submissions). Thank you so much for your understanding and I really appreciate everyone who takes the time to share product info here--it helps us all out so much and I wish I could run every single pic that I receive!
Continuing my coverage of Halloween 2012, I bring you lots of new, fun goodies, and a return of some old favorites. (If you'd like to see my other Halloween 2012 posts, just enter "Halloween 2012" into the search bar above, and the first four posts that come up include everything I've covered to date for Halloween 2012.
Reader Abi spotted lots of Halloween displays at her local Rite Aid and was nice enough to share:

Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Wicked Look Kits
These kits are very similar to last year's, but the shadows are now in larger, square pans (in previous years they came in small, round pots). I happened to spot the same display at my Rite Aid about two weeks ago and I took some close-ups:
This set comes with a pink/black shadow duo, lashes, mini lipstick and a mini polish. The polish in this kit looks a lot like the Fantasy Makers 2012 Tombstone Polish. I can't be sure they're the same (it might actually be closer to the old LE shade from Wet n Wild, Behind Closed Doors), but I can confirm that there are larger and smaller red glitter pieces in this formula.
And here's the kit that contains the matte red shadow (if I remember correctly, there are sparse specks of fine glitter in both the black and red shadows, sort of like the glitter in the NYC Halloween duo):
Not truly Halloween but "Halloween-ish", I spotted the City Color Masquerade Collection at Rite Aid a while back (apologies if you submitted pics of this as well!):
I tried so hard to capture the very fine iridescent glitter running through all four of these colors, but my camera just couldn't pic it up. You really can only see the glitter in direct sunlight, but it does run through all of these polishes, even the two grays:
Emi from Project Swatch spotted some fun Halloween goodies at her Rite Aid recently and was nice enough to share:

Emi also spotted some other Pumpkin Polishes--not just the glow-in-the-darks, but also some new GLITTERS!

See those two Pumpkin glitters? I really hope one of them contains the moon-shaped glitter from last year! Also, the glitter pen duos are back again this year.
Reader Abi spotted the glow-in-the-dark Pumpkin Polishes at her Rite Aid, and also lots of other Halloween displays from Fright Night, Hedy's, Ardell and Pretty Woman:

I don't recall ever seeing face tattoos like this last year. They look pretty neat!

Hedy's has new nail kits this year, and also some lashes and face/body stencils.

I also spotted the Pretty Woman Stiletto Nails display at my local Rite Aid, so I wanted to share some close-ups:
That's it, so far, for Halloween 2012. I know this isn't the last of it though, so expect to see more posts in September!
Please check back tomorrow for more new product sightings--I have TONS to show you (non-Halloween-related) and some of them you don't want to miss.
Thanks so much, Abi and Emi, for
the great sightings! And thanks to everyone else who submitted photos
that weren't used in this post. I really wish I could have run every single one of them!
oooh this makes me wish we had a rite aid near me ;-;
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely pick up those City Color Masquerade polishes. I think they're great for fall and winter (not just Halloween) :)
ReplyDeleteThe photo on the Pretty Woman display is the same photo on the now infamous "Start a Phenomenon" Sinful Colors display, except for the photoshopped nails. I know that's not uncommon, but it seems terribly ironic.
ReplyDeleteThe lashes from the "Vampiress" kit are amazing! I wonder if I can get those lashes individually (without buying the whole kit)
ReplyDeleteIf those are the same Kiss Nail Dress designs that I saw, the package says they can be worn on fingers and toes! I like the idea of a Halloween print on my toes :)
ReplyDeleteThe Kiss nail dress may give Sally Hansen a run for her money!!! They are really cool, kinda like a rock and roll vibe Halloween! I think I am going to have to rock a face tattoo on Halloween even if it is only for answering the door! Thanks every one for the info!
ReplyDeleteWalgreens had a Rimmel Halloween display. I wish I'd taken a picture but it was two glosses, one blood red (naturally) and a couple shadow sets, plus one of their regular masacara, maybe an eyeliner. They had a $1 coupon with the display, which I grabbed for future purchases.
ReplyDeleteThose face tattoos look super cool! I always get so hyped for halloween. =)
ReplyDeleteI just picked up one of the City Colors polishes last week. I got the grey one. I haven't tried it yet, but you can definitely see the shimmer in the bottle if you're in the right light.
ReplyDeleteCat nail strips! *swoon* I'm bummed that this is Rite Aid, and can only hope they come to CVS or Walgreens soon.
ReplyDeletebest holiday ever!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love everything haha! Crazy nails, fake lashes - best holiday ever!
ReplyDeleteI want the pumpkin glitters!!! I want the stiletto nails!!! I want the Halloween nail stickers!!! (You'd think it was Christmas time with all my wants!)
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a Rite Aid near me too! I will be trying to find some of this sstuff soon! I want those shimmery pumpkin polishes! Who made those again? Nyuuu! I love this holiday!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh! I really want those City Color polishes and the Pretty Woman stillettoes! I've never even seen that brand before. Your Rite Aid gets the best stuff! Here in NYC, ours are always sparse and picked over. The one closest to my house (a 20 minute walk) closed down! It's too bad, because Rite Aid, IMO, has the best deals. I am on a mission to find those!
ReplyDeleteI like those face tatoos, but they're a little scary :-D
