What I CAN confirm is that there's a brand spankin' new Colorstay Gel Envy Longewear Nail Enamel line now hitting stores. Whether or not this is taking the place of the original Colorstay Nail Enamel line remains to be seen. Thanks so much to reader Pascale for the following photos. Pascale spotted these at a drugstore in Canada (they should probably be hitting the US soon):

Have you spotted this new Revlon line in your area yet? Thoughts? Are you a fan of the original Colorstay Nail Enamel line?
Thanks again, Pascale, for the great sighting and pics!
I feel like these haven't been out long enough to be discontinued already, that's crazy.
ReplyDeleteHmm..I really like the colorstay formula, so that seems too bad. But I'm willing to try pretty much anything new. :D
ReplyDeleteHmm, I wonder if these are similar to the CND Vinylux polishes - they're also a base/color in one and a topcoat in an opaque bottle (because sunlight helps make it cure / get harder). I love the vinylux topcoat, so I hope they are similar!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is similar to CND vinylux. They have just a color and then a topcoat as well.
ReplyDeleteThe colors look really similar to the colorstay line.
ReplyDeleteI don't like how thick the colorstay polishes are, but I just discovered the base coat and it's my HG base coat! Polish normally chips on me within a day, even with regular base coats. Gelous works pretty well, meaning I might get 2 days chip free, but the Revlon gel base coat lasts for days!!! It's amazing. Guess I better stock up :(
ReplyDeleteNever thought to use the base coat on regular polish. Going to try it next time I do my nails. Thanks for the tip!
DeleteI noticed the clearance stickers on the Color Stay but still not that cheap. I will however try the base coat. I hope this Gel Envy works better than the L'Oreal brand. Going to wait for reviews
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the ones from Loreal that are 3 steps like the gel nails but without the light?
ReplyDeleteYes!! I included a link to my review of the L'Oreal Gel-Lacque system in this blog post! Just scroll up if you'd like to see. :)
DeleteUlta has the entire colorstay line on sale for 3.99 apiece.
ReplyDeleteI hope the formula is similar to the original! The base coat is my hg base coat!
ReplyDeleteSaw the Colorstays on clearance at Walgreens and figured they were being discontinued. I liked them. Usually got 5-6 days wear with no chips. I will try these new ones too because they are probably going to be either similar or even better than the first ones.
ReplyDeleteI love the ColorStay enamel. Sad to see it go. I'll stock up on my favorite colors. Thanks for the heads up. I'm sure I'll try this new line via a CVS EB deal.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the colorstay polishes. I have so many. Love the base and top coats as well.
ReplyDeleteI saw the top coat that did colorstay gel top coat in Walgreens last night but it was not the one in the pics. It is not the one I have either. I have seen it on Canadian and British blogs, though.
Supposed to say *that said. Also they did not have the matching Revlon colorstay gel-smooth basecoat. Just the top coat.
DeleteJust saw these at wegmans today. I bought wild card and the tc. I'll report back
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing Gel Envy in the shade "Checkmate". The formula is noticeably stronger than that of the original Colorstay!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone has already mentioned this to you, but I've seen a lot of the discontinued Revlon Colorstay enamels and base/top coat at Big Lots lately. I missed these in the drugstores (as other said, they weren't around long at all), so I picked up some holiday-friendly colors, the base coat, and the top coat to try out.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know of a comparison review between the discontinued and new lines?
