Important Update Regarding the Target Beauty Box

Thanks to several of you here and on social media for the heads-up about this one! If you placed an order for the Target Beauty Box and you were charged a shipping fee (even if you did not use a Red Card to make your purchase), this was apparently done in ERROR and everyone was supposed to receive this box with FREE SHIPPING. This has been confirmed by Target (see the Target Style Facebook wall) and they are asking that you call Target Customer Service at 800.591.3869 to have your shipping fee returned back to you (just be sure you have your order number handy, which you should have received via email after placing your order).

If you have not yet placed an order, this glitch should now be fixed on the Target website (click here for the link to order the Beauty Box) and you should NOT be charged a shipping fee, no matter how you pay for this box.

  2. Calling the 800# is useless. CS doesn't know about it and will push you to get a Red Card.

    1. Ask to speak to a manager, and also refer them to what they posted on their FB page. Many people are receiving the refund without issue (see comment below). Hope that helps.

    1. If you look at the product description it says Target will pay for the shipping, period (not just for Red Card). Again, Target confirmed this on their FB page and are aware of the glitch. Hope that helps!

  5. Thank you thank you thank you! I've always wanted to get one of these boxes and always miss it. This time I got it. I used my Target card but with tax it came to $5. Not bad at all! You have made my day!

  14. Thank goodness I saw this on facebook whilst procrastinating, otherwise I would have just gone on my merry way completely unconcerned. I sent off a quick email, and if I don't get a response by the time I'm out of class tomorrow I'll call them up (even though I'd rather not with what I've been seeing on the facebook page.)

    1. I got my refund email this morning, they called my Jennifer (not sure what that's about, I know that's my moms name, but I'm still confused) either way though I DID get shipping refunded.

  15. Big fail for Target. Customer service is in India and the representatives barely speak English. He doesn't want to refund my shipping and instead wants me to apply for a Redcard and get free shipping that way. I'm kind of disgusted with the whole thing now.

  16. I ordered earlier and got charged shipping. I called customer service just now, and while the rep was hard to understand, they issued me a refund - no problem. It is a little annoying that they haven't fixed the issue, but I'm glad it was resolved without too much effort.

  17. Just ordered mine, and although the error wasn't fixed and I was charged for shipping, I called the customer service line and my shipping was refunded in less than a minute. Sounds like their CS knows what's going on now and will fix it really quick!

  18. I wondered, it said right on the page it was free shipping, I figured it was a kind of typo and they meant Red Card free shipping...
    Thanks for the info as I don't use social media..will have to try to call and see what happens...

    1. I was going to email guest.service@target.com
      but when I checked order status just now, it shows the shipping discounted and just $5.80 (box + tax)....
      However my Paypal is still pending $11.42, so hopefully it all shakes out in the end

  19. CS refused to process a return to my paypal account and instead will only give me a giftcard, even though I provided the reference number. I just sent an email as well so hopefully they do it as a refund. They also refused to pass me to a supervisor.

    1. I had the same thing happen, but I was fine with the e gift card because I shop at Target often. They told me it would arrive in my e-mail within four hours. It didn't. When I called back, they said they were now crediting the money back to my PayPal account. I would suggest calling back to try and talk to a new representative. CS is frustrating sometimes...

  20. It just worked for me now with the free shipping!! Paypal payment was still charging shipping, but I used a credit/debit card instead and the free shipping DID work.
