Whew! Lots of new products for 2014, right? Have you spotted any of these new Hard Candy products at your local Walmart yet? They should be popping up for more and more of you in the next few weeks, and they should be available on the Walmart website soon as well. Anything catching your eye here? Any must-haves? For a closer look at some of these products, check out my original post from yesterday.
Hope they don't discontinue their regular version of glamoflauge.
ReplyDeleteI can assure they are NOT discontinuing the original! It was in the press material I received and all of the shades are still very much available. I just didn't include anything in this post from the core line if there were no new shades added. Hope that puts your mind at ease!
DeleteWhew! Thanks so much for the info, G! I was worried about the same thing.
DeleteI like hard candy but I feel like the model in the second photo is overly edited...
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to try the foundation, mascara, and lip crayons!
ReplyDeleteI am officially excited. They are doing some heavy revamping and it all looks amazing. One can only hope the quality is there.
ReplyDeleteThe model for the ginormous lash mascara creeps me out. It looks like they used only half her face and then did a mirror image of for the other side. She looks too symmetrical.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they seemed to make her eyes look over OTT doll like...looks very digitally enhanced. Same photo was used in the L.A. Colors mood lips display. It really sucks when companies just use stock pics rather than actually use the product they are selling!
DeleteThat's so funny! In the show, Brain Games, they mentioned the golden ratio and how people were in general more attractive when their facial features fit the ratios & were symmetrical. Maybe they really did just take one side and reflect it over!
DeleteGood catch on the LA Colors Mood lip gloss model!
DeleteI am excited at all these new offerings! I can't wait to try the green color correcting primer. However, I think they could have done more to expand their concealer and foundation shades. Women of color are still going to be left out.
ReplyDeleteNice! I kind of can't wait to try the ombre lipsticks. The two polishes that I mentioned to you that looked a lot like the new Milani ones are mom & pop and fairy ball. I hope my Walmart stocks up on these products pronto!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks awesome except for the ombre lip thing and the stuff with all of the glitter.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else feeling a little, "shut up and take my money!!!"?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I see that's kinda iffy is the square shape on the contour and highlight sticks and that the ombre lipsticks seem like they'll work far better in theory than in practice. That aside, they've a history of producing solid and cheap makeup, so I'll be stalking my Walmart makeup section.
I like Hard candy great quality for drugstore....but the color range is lacking...nothing for the deep skin-toned ppl. the color cosmetics are nice though.
ReplyDeleteThanks G! I like the sound of the primers especially the dark spot correcting one. As well as all of the eye products. That's about all I can use because all of the face products are too light for my african american skin lol.
ReplyDeleteSame here! I do think it's funny that they have a dark girl modeling the lipstick... Uh.. What did they use on HER face lol...
DeleteI don't normally use many drugstore products, but I'm excited for these!!!!!! I want them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity they've chosen to partner with the Evil Empire. My friends and I all boycott that horrible company as they're known for driving local businesses out of business and treat their employees like garbage. Please let us know when HC decides to sell through other outlets. The products look like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
I'm with you there. I would love to give HG a shot, but won't shop at Wal-Mart.
DeleteYeah go on and boycott and make the lower level employees lives harder by eliminating some profit. Guess who would get laid off or fired if profits drop far enough? Certainly not the corporate bozos you think you're punishing. Think about that for awhile.
DeleteHey everyone--I absolutely encourage everyone here to express their feelings about products, retailers, etc., and I don't censor opinions. However, please keep in mind the tone you use when interacting with others. If this heads down an ugly path, I will moderate accordingly. Thanks so much--just want to keep things friendly and civil around here! :)
DeleteSame here. I hate Walmart.
DeleteThey should just combine all those primers into one, because that's what I need for my face lol...I'm so going broke once all this hits stores!!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of American makeup, especially the prices! I'm from Australia and everything is so expensive
ReplyDeleteYou should maybe try to do a swap with someone in America if you have any friends here. I have seen several people do that on youtube, interesting to see other brands in other countries.
DeleteMy poor wallet :( Thanks for giving us a heads up!
ReplyDeleteI'm lemming the soda pop polish already... It would look great over yellow!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for the new Glamoflauge! I'm ready to try those! The primers look interesting. I can't wait to try. I have more hope for this than the limited edition WnW palettes, or maybellines nudes. So fingers crossed!
ReplyDeletethe example photos look like total BS, no mascara make anyone's lashes look like that and no lip crayon makes your lips look like vinyl.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that they are discontinuing Crush on Tin! That's a great shade of polish.
ReplyDeleteI actually went to Walmart yesterday hoping that just maybe.... alas there were places for all the new stuff but it wasn't stocked yet. Bummer. I can't wait to see the new polishes!
ReplyDeleteGoodness help ME! I'm on a "No Buy". Could everyone bow their heads in a moment of silence?! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am not going to rush to Walmart to find these but when I do get there I would like to try the highlighting blush stick and I really want Soda Pop n.p. that looks like a winner so it may be hard to find once they hit the shelves.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I used Hard Candy was when it was sold at Sephora. None of this new stuff really interests me, either. Maybe it's because I live in NYC and the closest Walmart is disgustingly kept, but even when I've gone to California a few times (and, coincidentally, Walmart) I never find anything that really grabs my attention. In any case, I wonder why they're releasing so many multi-functional stick products? xD And I wonder how that "ink" 4-day mascara will fare. Thanks for the info. :D
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that Hard Candy has a woman of color as a model but yet they do not have concealers in a shade suitable for most women of color.
ReplyDeleteThat's really weird and disappointing that they don't have any options for those with deeper skin. I am looking forward to the Glossaholics though, I already own all the existing ones!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I'm highly annoyed that there are no complexion offering for deeper skin tones. But yet, the have a black woman modeling the lipstick. C'mon Hard Candy really???
ReplyDeleteMy local Wal-Mart has their new Spring products. I actually swatched some of the Pop-arazzi polish on my thumbnail. It's super cute. In person, it looks like candy sprinkles in the tube. I wish now I'd actually bought it. I did, however, buy the Single & Loving It shadow in Oink! I'm eager to try that.
ReplyDeleteAnxiously waiting for the shine free primer. Everything else is not that exciting for me
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll be looking for some of those new polishes for sure!
ReplyDeleteI need that soda pop np
ReplyDeleteI tried out the primers, and I love both of them :) I also purchased the tinted moisturizing stick in medium as a contour. It's pretty good but not my favorite. I usually hate Walmart, but I have to go every week to run errands for work. My first destination is the Hard Candy section.
ReplyDeleteWow this is a lot of new product! It's almost like they are relaunching their line. Great pics and info, G!
ReplyDeleteI remember having a Revlon mascara that was a "lash ink" in the early 2000's taht stayed on for like days and I remember really liking it, hmmm I wonder how this would compare?
ReplyDeleteOH ... MY ... GAWD .... that is all ;) LOVE!
ReplyDeleteThe eyeshadow singles look very similar to the Stila countless colour pigments. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any mention of the new glitters?! My Wal Mart has all the new stuff, I just thoughts I overlooked it here. If you'd like pics, I'd be glad to take some. They look just like the pigments (contained wise) and most have at least one glitter I've never seen!
ReplyDeletejust saw it on my local walmart in vancouver canada n had to stop myself from buying everything n only got the concealer n will wait until i see some reviews n then decide what i really need
ReplyDeleteI went into Walmart today.... Bad idea for my wallet but I got almost all the new nail polishes and the shine free primer!~ *dances* Can't wait to play with them!~
ReplyDeleteWow, some great stuff! I have no Hard Candy makeup products, but now I'm thinking I might have to start my collection :D
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway that i can see the ingredients? Walmart or hard candy websites don't list anything. So frustrating..........................
