If you could take ONE drugstore limited edition collection and make it permanent, which collection would it be?
This is a tough one since I have covered a zillion limited edition drugstore collections over the last five years here on the blog. I have so many that I personally adore from Maybelline, Revlon, Milani, L'Oreal, etc., but I think I'm going to have to go with the Wet n Wild Limited Edition Where's The Party Collection from Holiday 2012. Specifically the Sparkle 'Til Morning palette. I always hear people say, "Why doesn't Wet n Wild make an ALL-NEUTRAL 8-pan?" and well, they did! There's actually one teal shade in that palette, but the rest are neutrals and I'm still mad that I never got my hands on it (Temptalia gave it an A- which only makes me more sad that I never got it.)
Oh man, this new Nudes Collection from Maybelline is right up my ally. I would have to say this collection for sure.
ReplyDeletei agree!!
DeleteI really love my WnW "Nude Awakening" palette from the 2013 Spring Collection. Closest dupe to the Naked 1 palette I've seen so far.
ReplyDeleteI love that one too... the whole left side is similar to Naked 1. :)
DeleteThe Maybelline Gilded in Gold matte neutral Color Tattoos are so great as eyeshadow bases. I wish I had bought every pot of Nude Pink I found, because it's my damn holy grail now. So that's what I would choose, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you, G. Not to add insult to injury, but my Sparkle Til Morning is by far my most used palette in my WnW collection!
ReplyDelete*covers ears* LOL!!
DeleteThe Maybelline fall collection from I think 2012.. the one with the mossy green CT and olive martini quad. My next one would be the Milani neutral shadow pencils.. but they made those permanent (yay).
ReplyDeleteLove that Martini quad so much!
DeleteAll of the Maybelline Color Tattoo LE shades! Please Maybelline just make them permanent. You'd make billions!! :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find it either! I wish Maybelline would make all the LE color tattoos permanent. I wasn't able to find the matte ones! :(
ReplyDeleteALL THE COLOR TATTOOS... um, I mean... no, I was right the first time. (Particularly the recent mattes which never turned up at Walgreens, argh. Why do you not want my money, Maybelline? At least I do actually have a half-decent matte nude pink cream shadow; there's one in Revlon's Seashells palette.)
ReplyDeleteIm not sure this would be your answer if you got the palette. I mean, it's a lovely one and I wish mine wasn't smashed... But I think there are other worthier LE collections that it seems like a no brainer they should be permanent. But if you never found the palette it's understandable you'd want it released again.
ReplyDeleteI would love to get my hands on wnw the gilded age if I could
I actually picked it for two reasons. One, I love WnW neutral shades and 2) I hear constantly from readers who want an all neutral 8-pan. So I thought it would be great for all of us. Lol!. ;)
DeleteBut I totally agree... the Gilded Age trio was one of WnW's best and it would be AWESOME if that were permanent. :)
well by that token wouldn't nude awakening by a good choice too? Or was that one just not up to everyone's standards?
DeleteDefinitely the matte Color Tattoos from the Fall Gilded in Gold set- I LOVE the nude pink and the matte brown- as bases and to wear as regular shadows. I have sent Maybelline several messages asking them to make these permanent. I've already hit pan on my nude pink! :(
ReplyDeleteIt's not exactly neutral, but that palette kind of reminds me of Sleek's sunset palette. It's been restocked on Amazon and I've been trying to keep myself from buying it!
ReplyDeleteThe MATTE Color Tattoos!! I search high and low for them....Maybelline please make these permanent.
ReplyDeleteI Go for nude awakening all the way. I love that palette so much! I treasure it. It's so versatile and practical. I don't understand why they don't just listen to us and keep the neutral palettes we all love as permanent.
ReplyDeleteAwww, just like you I never got my hands on it, and I looked and looked. The pic is still saved on my phone. I got the other two, but not that one. I know that one day it will come back, and I'll get it!
