It's that time again, Nouvettes! I'm compiling the 5th Annual Cheapie Awards (which I always announce at the end of the year) and once again, there's going to be a category for Reader's Choice - Best New Drugstore Beauty Product of 2013. This is the time to for you to tell the world what you absolutely loved this year!
For the first phase of voting, it's a free-for-all. That means you can you leave a comment on this post and nominate ANY drugstore beauty product for consideration (I'll take the most popular products and create a poll for you to vote on in about a week).
RULES FOR NOMINATION:
- The product must have been released into the marketplace in 2013 (or December 2012, since some new products for 2013 were technically available in stores starting in December of 2012). If you don't know when a product was released, just nominate it anyway and I'll confirm the release date.
- The product must NOT be limited edition.
- The product must be commonly considered a "drugstore" product and available at drugstores, Ulta, mass-merchandisers like Target, Walmart, Kmart, etc. OR online (NYX, e.l.f., etc.). You may NOT nominate any product that is considered mid- or high-end for consideration.
- You may nominate as many products as you'd like, and any type of beauty product (cosmetics, nail polish, makeup brushes, beauty tools, skincare, haircare, bath & body or fragrance).
That's it! You'll have about a week to nominate your favorite products in the comments on this post. Oh, and here are just A FEW products that were quite popular this year, in case you're drawing a blank:

The Jordana Twist and Shine lipcolors! I haven't been blown away by many things this year (aside from the Avalon Organics orange-scented toner omg) but I absolutely adore these. So easy to wear, they feel great and moisturize well, and they don't emphasize dry skin on the lips.

ReplyDeleteI love Wet n Wild's Wild Shine nail polish in "Hallucinate"! It is a gorgeous white glitter topcoat that I swear is just as good as OPI or China Glaze's that are the same color! And for only .99 cents, it's a steal! Also, Revlon's "Whimsical" is a gorgeous baby bluish crelly with beautiful turquoise and pink glitters! All of my friends have gone thru at least one or two bottles this year!

ReplyDeleteI'm mad for Revlon's Lash Potion and Rimmel's Volume Accelerator. Both give me lashes that rival the best expensive mascara!! (I know, because I have stubborn lashes). They are effing amazing!!

My favorite item this year are the NYX Butter Lip Balms, which I think are a 2013 thing. Also love the CoverGirl 3-in-1 foundation and the Jordana Twist & Shine balm stains.
