Spotted: Sinful Colors Spice It Up! Collection (five new shades)

Many thanks to several of you for sharing info about this new Sinful Colors collection now popping up at Walmart. I have been meaning to do a post about this one for a few weeks now, but it looks like some of you are just now spotting this display in your areas, so hopefully I'm not too late with this one!

The Spice It Up! Collection contains five new shades and a few odd ducks, so let's take a look! Huge thanks to reader @nekomeem on Instagram for these pics:

(retail: $1.98 each, 0.5 oz)

There are some repromotes here but the good news is that, in addition to some permanent shades, there are some limited edition, harder-to-find shade here as well. This could be great news if you've been looking for some of these! @nekomeem confirmed that the following repromotes are in this display:

Show Me The Way (permanent)

I Love You (permanent)

Nirvana (permanent)

Ruby Ruby (permanent)

Let's Meet (permanent)

Citrine (limited edition; originally released in the Wow Pop Collection)

Clementine (limited edition; originally in the Wow Pop Collection and then brought back in the Bright Essentials Collection)

Aubergine (limited edition; spotted randomly at Target and also in the Naughty or Nice? Collection - thanks to reader rachaelly for that tip!)

Coffee (limited edition; from the Country Charmer Collection)

Fig (limited edition from Summer 2012; this is a dupe for OPI Plugged-In Plum)

Green Ocean (this is the limited edition flakie that is released every year for St. Patrick's Day at Walgreens)

Anemone (limited edition; originally released in the Break Away Collection which first came out in April of this year at Meijer, and then was spotted at Walgreens in October of this year)

Here are some more photos of Tread Gingerly from reader Madelyn:

NOTE: Tread Gingerly contains some shimmer, which is hard to see in photos.

NEW SHADE: Just A Pinch

It's hard to tell from pics, but I'm thinking Just A Pinch could be similar to Sinful Colors Adventure Island (from the Summer 2011 Adventure Island Collection).

NEW SHADES: 1358 Sage Rose, 1356 Hot Chili, 1355 Sin-Ammon

The last new shade in this display is Hot Chili, which is a bit of an odd duck:

Notice how this bottle has a silver cap like the Sinful Colors Diamond Lust polishes? Only it's not a Diamond Lust polish. It doesn't contain diamond-shaped glitter, and it retails for $1.98 like all of the other regular Sinful Colors polishes (the Diamond Lust collection retails for $2.99 a bottle). Strange! It's a pretty color though.

Have you spotted the Spice It Up! Collection at your local Walmart yet? I have no idea if this collection will also be available at Walgreens and/or Rite Aid, but if you see any of these five new shades at your Walgreens or Rite Aid in the days ahead, I would sure appreciate the tip!

Thanks so very much, @nekomeem, for the great pics and info! Thanks to Madelyn for the pics of Tread Gingerly and thanks to several of you for also taking the time to let me know about this collection!

    1. I think I saw some swatches of this on instagram and I don't think it is...

    2. UPDATE: YOU'RE RIGHT! Amy (below) and some followers in instagram just confirmed that it IS textured! :)

    3. It's sorta textured, but not more than I would expect from it with how much glitter is in it. Very each to cover with a topcoat for a smooth finish.

  2. This showed up at my Walmart a couple of weeks ago on an endcap in the gifts section just past the cosmetics section (which is tiny in our walmart). I love both Hot Chili and Sage Rose, both great formulas. Especially Sage Rose, I recall it being a one coater.

  5. I wanted Hot Chili before I read your comments that it's textured! Now I must have it. I just bought Anemone at Big Lots for $1.00 today. Haven't seen this display but will keep my eyes open for it.

  6. I hope these show up in other spots like Walgreens. I've love to see Tread Gingerly, especially if it has shimmer, and Sage Rose and Sin-Ammon look pretty, too.

    1. I bought Tread Gingerly a couple of weeks back and it has a lot of shimmer, definitely not the hidden kind. I haven't worn it yet, but I've swatched it and it looks very pretty, but does seem a bit thick.

  7. I am STILL trying to find Classified ( I kind of need this shade...greyish-green? Yes Please!) and Espionage, haha. I guess the Walmart and/or Walgreens in my area are just not going to get them. Some of these look interesting though, so here's to hoping!

  9. is it just me or does sin-ammon look a lot like gold medal from sinful colors' 2013 holiday collection?

    1. They're different. Gold Metal is gold and a one coater. Sin-ammon is much more yellow and a 2 or 3 coater.

  10. I've been dying to find a bottle of Green Ocean. Glad to hear it is re-released every so often. How does it compare to other flakies, like Zoya's Opal?

    1. G has done a post comparing Green Ocean to various other flakies, just search this blog for "flakies." Also, here's a post comparing Green Ocean to Zoya Maisie. http://thelilvovoeffect.wordpress.com/2012/03/06/sinful-colors-flakies-polish/

  11. It is NOT textured. I bought it last night. It's holo glitter in a red-brown frost base, and personally, I think its ugly once it's dry. Beautiful in the bottle though.

  12. Does anyone have pics of swatches from this collection?

  13. I just got Hot Chili at Walmart. In my opinion - it is NOT textured. Not in the traditional way we are used to textured polishes. It's packed with holo glitter....packed. The high glitter content along with a rather thick formula make it look lumpy. It's a pretty color, but not in a pixie dust, Julie G, Liquid Sand kind of way. I'm going to try to smooth it out with some Gelous as I'm not a fan of the lumpiness. It also leans a bit frosty as the previous comment says.

  14. This is a collection exclusively sold at Walmart, FYI
