Hunger Games fans: The CoverGirl Capitol Collection is getting closer...

You may recall that, back in May of this year, I posted about how CoverGirl was coming out with a Capitol Collection line of makeup to tie in with the release of the new Hunger Games film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Well the time for the big reveal is finally drawing near. Here's what CoverGirl posted on their Instagram today:

The caption on CoverGirl's Instagram post reads:

Some seriously stunning #capitolcovergirl news to share with you, tomorrow!

So we've got one more day to (hopefully) see what this collection is all about it!

Are you Hunger Games fans curious to see what will be included in this collection? Did you enjoy the China Glaze Capitol Colours collection (which tied in to the first film)? Are you a fan of movie tie-ins when it comes to beauty?

  1. Oo, this is exciting! While I read the Hunger Games books a while back, I just saw the first movie last week! I love themed LE products. I own Luxe & Lush from the CG Capitol collection and I'd love to expand my Hunger Games themed products ;)

  2. I LOVED the China Glaze collection! Actually, I was hoping they would do another one....I'm interested in the Cover Girl collection because I love the books/movie series (Only "series" books I've gotten into, like, since I was a high schooler, lol!)but I don't normally love Cover Girl except Lash Blast. So we will so. Hoping it will be the edgy, fashion forward collection that will change my mind about the brand, but that might be asking a bit much ;)

  3. I'm intrigued. I hope they have a broad range of products. If there ever was a legitimate tie-in with beauty products, this series is it IMO. Also, I enjoyed a lot of the China Glaze colors. I bought at least half the collection. =)

  4. It seems like a weird tie-in. People from the Capitol come across as silly and wasteful in the books.

  5. I think it sounds cool and I am a big fan of CoverGirl, especially within the past few years. I think movie tie-ins are fun and whimsical and bring something different to the table.

My wish of all time is that CG, Maybelline, Revlon would do some sort of retro throwback and release a bunch of their collections from different eras with original packaging and names (would accept product re-formulations). I emailed Revlon about that once, but I don't think they thought much of it LOL! I just adore vintage makeup ads and vintage makeup in general.

  6. I want this to come out NOOOOOOW. I actually did a very Capitol costume for the first movie, complete with hair, makeup, outfit and gray lenses. I hope for uber-brights and colors Effie Trinket would wear, things you would seriously see in the Capitol! (Did you know her entire wardrobe was Alexander McQueen? And what a wardrobe it was...) I intend to have another Capitolist look this year too.

  8. I've been really impressed with the CoverGirl Outlast polishes, so I will be interested if they have polish and nail art stuff. I love the LashBlast line, too, so if they released a couple of wild colors, I'd probably pick them up for fun! Eyeshadow and lipstuff, not so much. I don't find CG to be strong in those areas. If CG doesn't do polishes, I hope someone else does!

  9. I hope CG goes crazy with the colors and concepts on this one and really captures the colorful craziness of the Capitol that is in the series.

  10. I was a wee bit disappointed that they only showed a photo of two models yesterday and not any of the actual products. I mean, seriously, who's going to do their makeup like the "Fishing District" model?
