For this manicure, I used the following:
Base color: L'Oreal Limited Edition Water's Edge from the Spring 2010 Passport to Paradise Collection
Stamping color: Flirt Nail Art Stamping Polish in White from the Fing'rs Flirt Nail Art Stamping Kit 30270
Stamper: from the Fing'rs Flirt Nail Art Stamping Kit 30270
Plate: SE10 from the As Seen on TV Salon Express Nail Art Kit (the design I used it highlighted above)
Top coat: Essie Go To Go Quick Dry Top Coat (not pictured)
For this look, I applied two coats of L'Oreal Water's Edge, and then I did a basic stamp in the middle of each nail. After that dried, I followed it up with a coat of Essie Good To Go top coat:
What I forgot was that, if you apply Essie Good To Go too quickly (or two thickly), it bubbles like crazy. Can you see it?
You can REALLY see it in this picture:
Luckily, in real life, you can't see the bubbles from a distance or else I would a little upset. I rarely get my stamping to look this clean...figures that I'd ruin it with bubbly top coat. Argh!
What are YOU wearing on your nails this weekend?

Love the water's edge shade. That's a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a combination of colors.I have my thumb, middle, and pinky fingers painted a solid hot pink, and my ring, and index finger half painted a neon yellow with black nail polish covering the other half and white polka dots on the black part of the nail polish.I know very colorful, but it'll do.
ReplyDeleteI still think this is a beautiful color! I am currently wearing a bright neon pink from Sinful Colors 871 Pink. I just got done for the semester so it's summer for me right now, this is the perfect summer color!
ReplyDeleteThis week I've been sporting Essie's Lilacism on everything but my 4th fingers, on those I have Essie's Boxer Shorts with polka dots in Lilacism.
ReplyDeleteJulie G Gumdrops collection in Sugar Rush (a deep coral with gold sparkle). I had resisted the whole textured polish trend thus far because I didn't think I'd like them, but I absolutely LOVE this polish. The sparkle is really pretty, the finish looks just like gumdrops, and the color is perfect for summer! Plus, the wear so far has been fantastic, and no need to touch up with a top coat (or worry about the glossiness fading) because you don't use one with this polish. I rarely wear the same polish twice in a row, but I think this will be in heavy rotation for me this summer. I highly recommend it if anyone else has yet to jump on the textured polish bandwagon!
ReplyDeleteEssie Mojito madness with Hard Candy Black Tie Optional on top!
ReplyDeleteRight now I have Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing for my mani and Sinful Colors Adventure Island on my toes. Since my tips are from last week and the pedi from 2wks ago, today I'll be switching that out to either WNW Megalast in Heatwave, or I'll try out the new SinfulShine in Alfresco. Btw I lovelovelove questions such as this, as a polish addict it is so exciting to share and to know what others out there are selecting. :)
ReplyDeleteJulieG Gumdrops in Blueberry Fizz. The thing I love best about these types of polishes is the fact that you can't see tip wear unless you're really, really looking.

ReplyDeleteG, this is lovely! So delicate and perfect for spring. Great job on the stamping, too.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to tell you that I have had 2 bottles of Essie GTG go (no pun intended) bad on me. It happens about halfway of bottle use: it thickens and clouds up, and actually draws threads from the brush to the nail, if you can picture that. I just received a refund check from Essie for the last bottle. Too bad, because I really liked using it initially. Now I use Out the Door, and so far, so good.
I am wearing Sinful Colors Paradise. It's a kind of ocean-y blue. A very cheerful color, I think. +)
A lot of quick dry top coats have the same problem about halfway through the bottle. Invest in a container of polish thinner to salvage your thickened topcoats as well as your super thick old polishes. Thinner can be found a beauty supply stores like Sally's for under $5.
DeleteI wore China Glaze Lubu Heels with an accent nail of Ruby Pumps this weekend. Love the color of your polish, thanks for sharing your weekend mani with us!
DeleteI have the EXACT same plate from a pack of bonus plates by Fing'rs, it is a dupe of the plate you used here. The one by Fing'rs is called B65. Granted, I am in Canada, so idk if you get them in the US. :)
