Five Buck Friday

It's time once again for Five Buck Friday! For new readers, this is a series I created to showcase some extremely affordable beaty products that I personally own, love and recommend  All of the products featured in Five Buck Friday come to a grand total of, you guessed it, five bucks! So let's get started with this week's installment!

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Polish in Sparked (retail: $0.99 wherever Wet n Wild is sold). Just about every nail color line seems to have a glittery pink shade these days, but this one's still one of my favorites and the price tag sure is right! Take a peek at LTHP's look she created with Wet n Wild Sparked and you be the judge. You kind of need this one (if you don't already have it).

NYC Liquid Lipshine in Fashion Avenue Fuchsia (retail: $2.49 wherever NYC is sold). I actually love several of the Lipshine glosses, but I think that Fashion Avenue Fuchsia is a perfect choice for spring (take a look at my swatches here). It's a beautiful shade of pink that's easy to wear and bright (but not too bright). I've been wearing this one a lot lately and can't recommend it enough.

Rapberry Créme Chapstick (retail: around $1.49 wherever Chapstick is sold). You know I love using Chapstick as a base underneath my drier lip colors, and this one is my newest obsession. Chapstick has really outdone themselves lately with their Limited Edition collections, but what's great about Rapberry Créme is that it's permanent! I found my tube at Walgreens a few months ago and I'm telling you, the flavor is ridiculously yummy (tastes just like raspberry sorbet). And what I love even more is that the balm itself is a milky, opaque rapsberry color. Too cute.

That's it for this installment of Five Buck Friday, and this time around I actually came out a little under budget ($4.97 to be exact!). I hope you have a great weekend, and let me know if you already own anything featured here!

Some of the products featured in this post were given to Nouveau Cheap for previous reviews. Click here for my full disclosure statement.

  1. G, you are awesome! I would have never picked Fasion Avenue Fuchsia as something I could wear until I clicked on your link to the swatches. This is gorgeous. Like you, I would have shied away from it thinking it was too bright for me, but now I see it is something I would wear all the time. And I have a $1 off coupon right now for this, so I'm going out to get it. Thank you so much. Your blog helps us all by not wasting money! :D

  6. I love Sparked. I have way more back ups than I need, because it's always on sale.

I don't know how Fashion Avenue Fuschia fell off my radar. I will have to snag it the next time NYC goes on sale.

  7. Picked up Fashion Ave. Fuschia today (got the last one...your readership in Columbus, OH must be high!!) and it is so FAB!! My new fave in this line, thanks for posting, because I always pass on it when I buy Liquid Lipshines. Also, even though it is completely INSANE for me to buy one more lip balm, I got the Chapstick Raspberry Creme and it is wonderful!!!
