Ahh! I'm so irritated. I just went to Wallgreens yesterday and spent $30. But of course it doesn't qualify for the sample box. *grumpy face*

ReplyDeleteSooooo annoyed, why do I even try? What am I missing here? Do I have to sign up to "discover beauty within"? I am a Balance member and purchased 17.98 worth of razor cartriges, Yes To Grapfruit facial moisturizer @ 16.49, Seventh Generation face wipes @ 4.71, a toothbrush @ 1.79, all of those are qualifying items (supposedly) so where did I go wrong? I also got 2 pacs of baby wipes, which was another 4dollars (not sure if they count...but still, even w/out those I should've gotten a catalina and did not. Nobody in the store even knew what I was talking about and kinda became dismissive when they saw this info was a link from a blog. *smh* by the time I call the manager tomorrow, chances are the offer will be gone. :(
ReplyDeleteThat's a bummer. However, I'm a beauty advisor. And they literally don't inform us of this deal at all. Last time, my manager was in the dark too. He wondered how I even knew about it, and I wouldn't have.. if I didn't receive a catalina myself. I'm sorry it didn't work for you :(
DeleteSo I called on Saturday to speak to the manager (I live 1/2 hr away from that RA) and she was extremely helpful. She called two seperate numbers to get some info as to why this happened. She then called me back explaining that the ppl in that dept are not available till Monday, so she will either speak to them or have them call me back. Well, today I received a call from Alabama (it was Walgreens consumer relations or something of the like) and they want my addy so they can send me out a box! I've had to deal w store managers quite a few times in my day, and sad to say many just don't give a fig...its always a nice surprise when someone actually cares enough to take an extra step to make sure that a customer gets due satisfaction. Too bad its not the other way around though, it shouldn't be a nice surprise, that's just the way it should be.
DeleteI also tried to get this and it didn't work... Rewards member, spent $36 on makeup, lip products, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and no pin for a sample box. The person at the register had no idea what I was talking about when I asked.

ReplyDeleteI received 2 within a few days of each other. One was the hair one and the other was a baby one. It took longer than the anticipated 6-8 weeks, but it was worth the wait. It felt like Christmas morning! The samples were things I would use AND were of a decent size! Thank you Walgreens!
