When I first started the Five Buck Friday series, I sort of explained my "rules" for products mentioned in these posts. First of all, everything mentioned here will always add up to a grand total of five dollars, and they're always products that I personally own and love. I usually give you three or four products every Friday, that always add up to five dollars total. But I did say that every once in a while, I would feature a single product that retails for five dollars, but that product has to be pretty darned special to be the sole Five Buck Friday featured product.
So today, I've got a product that I believe is truly worthy of all five of your hard-earned bucks. Keep reading to find out what it is...
Black Radiance Artisan Color Baked Blushes (retail: around $4.99 each at Drugstore.com, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid and wherever else Black Radiance is sold). Created for Women of Color, many Black Radiance products (from the same makers of Wet n Wild) work beautifully for all skintones. This collection of blushes is definitely one that can work for any skintone, and I dare say it's the most highly-pigmented line of blushes I've ever found at the drugstore level. In fact, using a standard blush brush will probably yield too much color (don't believe me? Click here!) so, as many readers have suggested, a duo-fiber or stippling brush is probably your best means of attack when it comes to these babies. In addition to superior pigmentation, they have fantastic staying power and come in some very lovely, vibrant shades. All this for five bucks? It's almost hard to believe! If you don't know where Black Radiance products are sold in your area, visit their homepage, where you can enter your zip code for a store directory. I honestly believe these blushes are worth triple their price and I find them very worthy of your five dollars.
That's it for this edition of Five Buck Friday. Let's meet again next week for more wallet-friendly goodies!
I have used black radiance products in the summer when I get really tan and no other product line is dark enough. I love the bronzers.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear they work for you! :)
DeleteI would love to get my hands on Black Radiance products! They are not at my Walmart, and I do not have a Walgreens near me. Sadly, when I put in my Maine zip code, I get stores in Puerto Rico!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you might have to take the plunge sometime and order online! I linked to Walgreens and drugstore.com above (both retailers carry an extensive collection of BR products). :)
DeleteI am as pale as a ghost and I love, love, love my Black Radiance baked blush in Warm Berry. It's absolutely one of my favourites. I apply it with a small duo fiber brush that I swipe across the blush, then swirl in the lid and tap off before applying to my face.
ReplyDeleteNice!! So glad to hear you love this blush too! :)
DeleteYes ma'am! I definitely agree, these blushes are great! Toasted Almond is my go-to for a natural look.
ReplyDeleteYes! I just picked up a new one yesterday prior to seeing this, coincidentally, in Plum Sorbet which I hadn't noticed before. So pretty!. I also really like their face primer which I think you've mentioned too.
ReplyDeleteGood to know. I have so many blushes now, I don't know what to do with them.
