Spotted: Flower Cosmetics by Drew Barrymore display

Reader Shannon spotted an end-cap display for the new Flower Cosmetics collection at Walmart and was nice enough to share some pics with us!

NOTE:  Earlier today I posted about how the full Flower collection is now up on the Walmart website, so keep in mind that the photos below are of a partial display (there are many other products in this collection including powders, concealers, BB Cream, eye colors, etc.). It looks like Walmart is introducing this brand with these end-cap displays, but eventually you'll be able to find the permanent wall display, containing the full collection, in the cosmetics department.

PS: They seem to be adding even more products to the website because this morning when I was combing through the collection, I did NOT see the Petite Fleurs Pocket Triple Eyeshadows (how cute are these!?!) but they're on the site now.

  1. I saw this same display. And while I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I have to say that I was somewhat underwhelmed. Hopefully reviews will prove me wrong.

  3. I think the packaging for the lip butters is so pretty! The rest of it, is so-so. I ran over to my walmart to see if they had these for my grubby little hands and no luck! I guess I'll have to wait for my Internet order to get to me. Bummer!

  5. I've been looking and have yet to see anything. Nothing at Grossmont Plaza in La Mesa or the one in Lemon Grove, yet... but I am really eager to try the lip butters and the bb cream....I know they'll get here soon.

  8. can't wait to get some of these & test them out

  9. They've now added a tab labeled 'In Store' where you can see which items aren't just on the website. It looks like they're still in the process of getting this info together though, since the only 'face' item currently in that category is one shade of the concealer. But if you click on it, you get that option to look for a store near you that carries it :-) Yay! Exactly what I was looking for!

  10. Thanks so much for this post, just bought a few lipsticks and one of the cream shadows online! Even remembered to go through Ebates first and get a little cash back :). I can't wait to see what these are like!

  11. Any word yet if these are cruelty-free or not?

    1. Thanks, CF, I didn't think they were or they would have advertised it. I think it's hypocritical of Drew Barrymore to be so outspoken about similar social issues and yet endorse a line of cosmetics that aren't cruelty-free. I seriously doubt she wears makeup from Walmart... those celebrities are usually quoted as saying they love Chanel, Dior, Armani, etc.

    2. Actually, it is stated on the packaging that are NOT tested on animals. I personally would not be interested if they did test, so I'm very aware and do look out for this info.

    3. OK, now I'm curious -- which is it? Thanks!

    4. It wasn't hypocritical at all. It's stated they are cruelty free.

  13. The lavender shades of nail polish are quite pretty but I can't tell the difference between them...maybe in person it's easier.

    1. the lavender shades are the same. Look closely at the names, they just have 2 rows of that color.

  14. Unfortunately there are no Walmarts near me. Or that's a good thing, less temptation, haha

  15. I have picked up some, used them and overall..reminds me of ELF..not impressed. The polishes are all colors I have seen befoprte, nothing major stands out..don't like the mascara...some of the lippies are pretty. For those who don't have a walmart in your area..Walmart.com!

  16. I love Drew. I'll bet she would be fun to hang out with. Most of these colors seem a little too conservative for her. Except maybe Eye of the Tiger Lily. That looks like her.

  17. I am curious about these, but the Walmart closest to me is a horrible wreck. I liked a couple of the colors I saw in this month's Allure, and the names are cute, but if it's only at Walmart I might not be trying these any time soon.

  18. This might just be me, but the packaging for the mascaras are really ugly to me and I wouldn't give them a second look unless I'd read good reviews on it. Packaging is a big thing for me... :/

  19. I bought one of the lip butters today and while I liked the color it did not feel like a lip butter. It feels like regular lipstick. I'm debating on returning it since I think $7 is a lot for just an average lipstick. Also, the packaging, while pretty, is clunky and space consuming. I carry around a half a dozen lipsticks at any given time so packaging is important.

  20. If the displays are anything like the wal mart stores i go to, they'll be wrecked in no time and anything left will be opened and trashed. I really wish wal mart paid more attention to keeping the beauty dept clean and well stocked.

  21. It states right on the packaging never tested on animals. I bought the lengthening mascara and personally am not impressed. The actual product was nicer then I expected given the cardboard package it was in, but the results it gave was disappointing. :(

  22. I tried the "Liquid Eye Liner" in black and I don't know if I happeped to get a dry one but it would not show up on my eyes. I tried my arm and it was so dry there was no color coming off of the tip.
I tried the website to see if I could email them about the product and found no way to contact them. I guess they could care less on what people think of the product. I for one will stick with my other drugstore favorites. So much for trying something new, Im 5 dollars in the hole. Thanks Flower!

  23. Just saw a display today at an Austin Walmart. It was so trashed out, all the other brands were as well. I'd rather buy cosmetics at a flea market! Why does Walmart allow the cosmetics department to get so destroyed? Even if the displays were not all vandalized, they were mostly empty. If I were launching a cosmetics line Walmart is the LAST venue I would seek out for its placement!
