If you missed out on Make Up Academy's big 30% off sale, no worries because, thanks to my blogging pal Halifax, I have been informed that they're currently running a 40% off sale with code MUA40, and every order receives FIVE free Quake (crackle) polishes.
If you're unfamiliar with MUA, they are a UK brand that makes some highly-pigmented shadows, including some Urban Decay Naked Palette dupes (click here and here). Their international shipping fee comes out to about $12US, but the prices of their products are very low to begin with, so with the 40% off discount, it would still be a good deal if you were planning on placing a larger order.
Happy plotting!
I know everyone rambles on about MUA but I really mean it when I say I love their cosmetics and amazing deals!
ReplyDeleteSoooo on that note I'm off to to buy more makeup! :)
x
I would consider placing an order, but I still haven't received my last one - that's okay, I'm not worried about it - but I don't know what product I will like and what I won't like yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks G! More sales I can't pass up!
ReplyDeleteI had previous experience ordering from them (Heaven and Earth palette and eye primer and other stuff) and it was great.
ReplyDeleteHowever, when I ordered from MUA using the 30% off this time around... I bought two lipsticks (One came in the wrong shade), two matte eye shadows (one of them didn't come), four heaven and earth palette to use as gifts (one came cracked). I'm not sure why this time around they totally messed up my order. Packaging of the products were in an envelope lined with bubble wrap... definitely not enough to ship all the things I ordered.
The lipsticks shades are a bit brighter than the website shows.
Anyways, a bit of a heads up for people who are ordering.
Great deal!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know how much shipping to US is?
I got my first order. Highly recommend the undressed palette. I got another one (grey/smokey one). The "lip booms" are nice too. Unfortunately polish I ordered broke but they refunded me without problems.
Shipping is about $12 to the US currently. I know they'll be having a 50% off sale with free shipping once they hit 50k likes on Facebook, so if you mind paying the $12 and can bear waiting, I would!
DeleteI actually mentioned the price of US shipping right in this very post. Sorry you missed it.
DeleteEsther, have you asked them to refund you? I also was missing an item and had broken items. I was already refunded about the missing item and I sent an email about the broken ones and got a refund the next day.
ReplyDeleteI've heard they were good about refunds too, if that helps.
DeleteI have not gotten mine from the last sale either. The customer service was really bad, I tried for weeks and no one would respond to me, they have no telephone number..I finally posted a scathing remark on their FB page and got someone to respond.. they supposedly reshipped it, but still no tracking or any idea where it is or when it will get here. Lots of terrible comments on the FB page: never received order, items missing or broken, etc. I order quite a bit online and have never seen such a mess. I'm not ordering from this sale, and will have to see how the situation works out but I may not order again period.
ReplyDeleteWow, I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I have heard from others that their CS is good and they refund quickly on shipments w/ broken or damaged goods, but this sounds horrible. Please do keep us updated? Thank you so much for sharing.
DeleteI once received a broken Es and all I had to do was photograph it, and they sent me a new one! You just have to contact cs..
ReplyDeleteMua products are ahhmazingg for the price! I love all of their palettes- immaculate collection is awesome, so is
Glamor nights and undressed.. The only one so far, that i don't love is the artiste palette.. The colors are not quite as pigmented as other palettes.. But the blushes are nice and natural, and it's still a good everyday look. Their blushes are amazing!!
I wish I liked their products more. The shadows were great but the lipsticks are cheaply made and the pigments are lack luster. Two of my lipsticks were detached from the post at the bottom of the tube. I eventually threw them away. Wet n Wild makes a far superior lipstick. I emailed and left a FB comment...the customer service IS terrible. I wish Id tried a couple things before ordering a larger amount... And shipping took two weeks which I don't really mind but they don't let you know when they ship and there's no tracking number. You just sit and wait and hope one day you receive your make up.
