Reminder: Bath & Body Works Valentine's Day Party THIS SATURDAY

Bath & Body Works fans: just a reminder about the in-store event THIS SATURDAY (2/11):

As you can see, the freebie this time around is a Pink Chiffon tote and a tube of Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Cream ($11 value). You'll get both of these items free with ANY Signature Collection purchase. Since there's no fine print, I believe you'll be able to purchase a travel size Signature Collection item like this and still qualify for the freebie (check with a salesperson first, just to be sure).

If you'd like to see my Pink Chiffon EDT review, please click here. It's BY FAR my new favorite fragrance for 2012--I swear I would drink it if I could.

Are you planning on attending this event?

  1. Awesome deal! I'll definitely be going. I wonder if you have to wear pink? =/

There's also a coupon for a free Fine Fragrance Mist with a $10 purchase. It's not valid until the 12th, but still! :)

Here's the link for anyone who's interested:

  2. Thanks so much for the coupon link! And no, I don't think you *have* to wear pink. :)

  3. I am curious about this scent, but thankfully the gift doesn't tempt me... this time LOL! Maybe I can hold off a bit longer and try to finish up a thing or two before taking the plunge.

    1. Haha! My mom loves JCB so I'd be giving that to her, and I have a sad obsession with free totes (I cannot say no to them, ever). :)

I'd love to know what you think when you eventually try pink chiffon!

  4. Thanks for the reminder! I just recently became obsessed with BBW after ignoring the brand for a decade, so any excuse to drop in is good :P I've been going through all your old BBW scent reviews, G., and making a list of all the scents that interest me.

    1. Yay! Welcome back to the world of bbw! Hopefully the reviews that appealed to you are of things that haven't been DC'd. *fingers crossed*

if you'd like any recs based on certain notes that you trend to gravitate toward, let me know. :)

    2. lol, thanks :)

Recs would be great. I love coconut scents, which I believe is something that we have in common. I love citrus, especially lemon and orange, and gourmand fragrances. I dislike strong florals.

After playing around at BBW I've decided that I love Twilight Woods and like Coconut Lime Breeze but White Citrus is a little too sharp and astringent for me. I love the initial burst of citrus in Forever Sunshine and Country Chic but the former quickly becomes too sweet (the praline?) on me whereas the latter turns straight up floral. I've only tried the mists though. Do you know if the lotions/body creams usually differ from the mists? I keep reading reviews in which people say that the FS and CC lotions are very citrus-y or lemony and I'm so disappointed that the mists didn't smell that way on me. I'm not sure if it's body chemistry or the mist formula that's the issue.

Also, can you use a BOGO coupon with an in-store BOGO promotion? I'm so used to doing that at the drugstore to get freebies but I don't know if that's permitted at bbw. For example, there's an in-store offer for Buy 2 Get 1 Signature collection item. Can I use a coupon I have for a Free Fragrance Mist with any $10 purchase with that promotion? In other words, could I buy three items (a fragrance mist and two body creams) and essentially get two of those items for free?

  5. Just wanted to point out that although a tube of cream is pictured as the free gift, the fine print says that the free
gift is a travel size body lotion. I don't know why BBW would picture the incorrect item but, I didn't want anyone to be disappointed. I know I was...
