I'm back!

Hello!

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that my mom is now out of the hospital and resting comfortably at home!! Yippee!!!!

"Thanks" is a word that doesn't nearly convey what I'm feeling for all of you right now. I want to let you know how deeply your thoughts and well-wishes have touched me through this tough time. To have such an outpouring of love from long-time readers, new readers and people who, until this time, have never left a comment on this blog before, means much more to me than I could ever express in this blog post.

I want you to know that even though this blog focuses on beauty products, the core of what I've always wanted to do was just connect with people and share information, ideas and create a place where we can, for even just a minute, come to escape from the more serious things in life. I know that, for me personally, my blog (and beauty products in general) have been a nice escape and diversion when real life gets tough. So if nothing else, whenever you're going through your own personal struggles, I hope to provide YOU with a brief escape, a shoulder to cry on, or simply just a way to take your mind off your troubles for a minute or two. 

Your love and support certainly helped ME through the past week, and I would love nothing more than to be able to return that favor to each and every one of you.

And with that, now that my mom's resting comfortably and I have a little bit of down-time to myself, I'll be working on some blog posts today and hope to post them by this evening, returning to my normal schedule in the days to come.

    YAY! This is going to sound so weird, but literally 5 minutes ago I was thinking about you and your mom for one of the first times since your update post a few days ago. I was just hoping that you would get to being able to blog soon, since I know you love it. I just hoped that your mom would be okay, and literally 5 minutes later this post comes up!! I'm so happy G! I;m glad you can blog again and even more glad that your mom is better!

    So happy for you! It's tough to have one parent recovering from being in the hospital, let alone having the other go in so soon after. I'm glad everyone's OK and doing much much better.

    Wow I am so glad for you! I've never left a comment on your blog but I read it every day! You are right about the diversion blogging and beauty products can bring. I am under tons of stress right now writing a book with a deadline right around the corner, and all I want to do is just browse beauty blogs and go shop at Sephora. :) So glad for your mom and thanks for continuing your great blog!

    What a relief. I think your family has seen enough of hospitals to last you a decade. You need to tell your parents, "Sir, Ma'am, I have some bad news to report. You've used up all your sick days. You have to be well for the next year or ten. Not a single sniffle outta youse!"
