About the Milani sale at CVS...

If you caught my post yesterday, then you know that there's a huge Milani clearance sale going on right now at CVS with many products 75% off.

I received a lot of feedback about this sale (thank you!), and I have a question for those who said they DID NOT see this sale going on in their area: did you actually take some of the products listed in my post to the scanner to see if they're coming up on sale in the system?

Since some of you said you didn't see clearance stickers but scanned the products and found they WERE 75% off in the system, I want to be sure that everyone who said the sale wasn't going on actually tried scanning first.

Thanks!

  1. Thanks to your post yesturday, I high tailed it to CVS today, there was no sign anywhere in regards to 75% off on the Milani products. I did go to the scanner and sure enough they was marked down. So I'm guessing cvs must not be adding the little 75% off stickers, or maybe some of them just haven't gotten around to adding them. Thank you for the heads up : )

  3. Just got back from CVS! Some (but very few) of the products had 75% off stickers, but I scanned some items without stickers and they were 75% off as well. I bought the HD Advanced Concealer click pen in 01 light and it was 75% off, so it ended up being $2.25- love it!

  4. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this post! I didn't see any stickers anywhere but I will go right now to see if they show up as 75% off on the scanner!

  5. Just went and bought the hd concealer - 2.25, eye tech in charcoal - 1.99, and minerals blush in luminous - 1.75. Tried to buy the body bronzer but the magic scan machine wouldn't scan it, and the register guy said if it wouldn't scan there it wouldn't scan at his register. Bummed! But still got great deals :) oh, and none of it was marked.

  6. WHY DO PEOPLE NOT SCAN ITEMS WHEN YOU SAY THERE IS A SALE GOING ON?! I actually prefer there to not be any stickers on items, then it's easier to get first pick. :D

I did forget to check a few things that I see other people mentioning. Like the concealer. The Milani displays in the CVSs around here are pretty pitiful, though.

Spent about 8 bucks and got a liner, three shadows, and two lipsticks.

Beware, the lipsticks have a MASSIVE fragrance so it tastes like you're eating perfume. .........those will be going back.

  7. @Zombii: lol me too! KEEP THE SALES A SECRET FROM THE NON-INTERNETS MASSES, haha XD

I'm so grabbing some stuff tomorrow when I'm out & about - majorly craving their liquif'eye liners!

  8. Just got back from CVS in San Francisco. Nothing was marked on the display but the items on your list all rang up as 75% off. I ended up buying the concealer pen in medium, liquifeye eyeliner in silver, mineral blush in mai tai, compact makeup in creamy natural, and nail polish in pink lady. All products were about $2 to $2.50 each. Thanks for the tip! :)

  9. Same here! Mine weren't marked but the items you mention did come up 75% off. I tried to find more items on sale but no such luck.

I did manage to haul 2 bronzers, all of the nail art, 1 eyeliner, the concealer pen, & a compact powder for under $20. Amazing deal!

  10. My CVS didn't have anything posted about the sale but they rang up on clearance at the scanner. The cashier and the manager didn't even know there was a clearance on Milani. I bought 3 blushes in Mai-Tai and 1 in Sunset Beach. I also bought Color Brilliance eye pencils and a retractable eyeliner pencil in blue. My happy dance ended when I asked the manager when they would get more Styli-style twist up eyeliners in extreme black. When he looked it up I found out they will no longer carry it. That is my holly grail eyeliner for my water line. Styli-Style is the only one that lasts me all day. I hate when stores get rid of the good stuff!!

  11. No stickers at my WI location, but almost everything that you listed that I tested rang up as 75% off-- the exception was the lipsticks, which rang up at full price, which sucks because there are two shades I've been coveting for ages! Argh. Got the HD concealer pen, a sharpener, retractable liner in Terra Brown (a pretty light metallic copper with silver sparkles), and blush in Sunset Rose, none for over $2 I think.

  14. Went to my local CVS (Houston, TX) store today and there were no clearance signs/stickers on the Milani display but, when I scanned the items you listed in your post yesterday, everything but the lipsticks came up 75% off. I ended up purchasing the 3D Glitzy Gloss in Leading Lady ($1.75), the Glitzy Gloss in First Class ($1.95) and the Runway Eyes Single in Shamrock ($1.72). I passed on the HD Concealer Pen ($2.25) but, I may have to go back for that one later!

  15. I went to my CVS and everything you listed was on clearance. I looove the HD concealer pen, the Liquif'eye pencil, and the Eye Tech!

I wanted to add that they do NOT allow you to use the BOGOFF sale on the Milani items that are 75% off.

With my $3.00 off Extra Bucks I saved $79 and spent $28ish (I got one thing that wasn't on sale)

  16. Interestingly enough, the cvs near me had two or three items with the 75% off price stated while the other items targeted for sale (most items which you'd mentioned in your post) as buy one get one 50% off.

    Rather cheeky, I think! : (

  17. Thank you soooo much for the info! I just left my local cvs with at least $50 worth of stuff less than $20! There were absolutely no sale signs in the Milani section but everything I got from your list was on sale! I'm so grateful! Thank you so much for taking your time to do this blog! :)

  18. Sad to say this sale doesnt seem to include the Longs Drugs stores here in Hawaii (we kept the Longs name even though CVS bought them out and we dont get the same sales).

I checked two diferent Longs while I was out and about taking several of the items listed up to get scanned and no clearance love there. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained right?
