Considering all of the new products I've shared with you in the last 24 hours, one thing is for certain: LONG-WEAR makeup is definitely the trend for 2012 drugstore cosmetics and I could not be any happier about that. My super oily skin thanks you, oh Makeup Gods!
Reader LMC1971, who is in Canada, spotted the new Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Eyeshadows and Master Precise Eyeliners and was kind enough to share (with some swatches!). Now, I don't know when these will be available in the US, or if they'll look exactly as they do in Canada, but it's DEFINITELY something to keep an eye out for, right?
UPDATE: thanks to Twitter follower @GiGiPronovost for this tip: the Color Tattoo shadows are currently up on the Walgreens website but as of today, they are unavailable for purchase. So that means they're coming to us soon, lovelies!

Easy application with ultra thin 0.4mm tip
LMC1971 was kind enough to share swatches of the two shades she purchased, and I'm so excited because they are the exact two shades that I personally would have purchased if I had access to this display!
Bad to the Bone, Tough as Taupe
It looks like these have nice pigmentation after one swipe.
Thanks SO much, LMC1971 for the fantastic pics!
Canadian readers: have you already spotted/purchased any of these new goodies from Maybelline? I would LOVE to hear your thoughts!
Those Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadows look like paint pots!
ReplyDeleteThis looks promising! Hopefully it delivers as a base and/or primer too! But I don't like how drugstores (and high end too) keep making these outrageous claims on how long their stuff wears. It's so deceiving and a flat out lie. Then again, I hope it's more long lasting than the other products, since I like my makeup to last on me :o).
ReplyDeletePaint pot dupes?? Heck yes! Very much looking forward to these!
ReplyDeleteOh my. And cue swooning...I'm such a cream eyeshadow lover! I will be all over these when they hit my area(:
ReplyDeleteOMG is that a MATTE cream shadow? I hope so! The one thing I hate about cream shadows is the amount shimmer in just about every color.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love your posts!!
ReplyDeleteyes, yes, I need these! :) I hope they come sooner than later, they look so nice!
ReplyDeleteCream Gel Eyeshadows? So basically, they are cream shadows? Or could they be used a gel liners? I'm slightly skeptic about this product... I would love to read a review before buying it. :)
ReplyDeleteAhh I am so excited about this and I don't even really wear eyeshadow that much, can't wait to see some long-wearing cream shadows in the drugstore :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like these items are in Shoppers Drug Mart (judging by the price tags) so I'll definitely stalk my local stores to grab some of these new products up PRONTO. Would you like any? I would be willing to do trade as the new Wet & Wild baked palettes haven't hit Canada yet. My contact information should be viewable to you if you are interested :)
ReplyDeleteThese could be our drugstore version of MAC Paint Pots, or Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream. Fingers crossed. The shade selection looks good.
ReplyDeleteThe packaging looks like the MUFE Aqua Creams, but hopefully they'll perform like MAC Paint Pots! (Though both Aqua Creams and Paint Pots work well, I sort of prefer Paint Pots.)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see a RANGE of colors, too!
I love these so much, they are just like paint pots and stay on you skin forever. They all have amazing texture, except the purple one (it sucks cause its beautiful), I dont know if I got a bad batch, but it is not the same, so just skip that one, but the rest are amazing :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I can't wait to see these soon and to hear if they compare to Mac paintpots. I do not own any Mac so I cannot compare them personally, so this will be exciting to hear what everyone has to say about them!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Texture wise they are just as good as mac standard shade paint pots. The can be applied sheer or buildable and take a few minutes to set if you want to use these as a base. The packaging is glass instead of plastic bases compared to the Aqua Creams.
ReplyDeleteI've posted my 5 swatches here.

I just bought the shade 35 Tough as Taupe and it is really similar to MAC Copperplate. I love it! Oh and the container looks like the creaseless cream eyeshadow from Benefit.
ReplyDeleteSorry new link in my gallery for the swatches.

Don't know if anyone's said this yet, but you can now buy the color tattoo from the walgreens website, but they only have the orange one :(
ReplyDeleteSaw them in CVS today. Priced at $7.49 each. Buy one get one half off. They have 8 color available, but look like they only got 2 of each color!
ReplyDeleteI just got one one today! I bought the Bad to the bronze one and it's amazing!! It's Shimmery medium bronzy color, I'm getting the gold one tomorrow!! I definitely recommend these, texture is great and you can't beat the price! (got mine for $8).
ReplyDeleteI bought "Bad to the Bronze" today. It's a lovely shimmery, soft bronze, and you can build the coverage up. I have had it on now for 12 hrs, and I cannot say enough good things about it. No creasing. No smudging. Color is still as vibrant as when I first applied it. I also find that it blends easier than the MAC paint pots. Canadian laides, I got mine at WM for $7, so I'll be heading back to get the Tough as Taupe one next.
ReplyDeleteI saw these today at Walmart in Canada for a little less than $7.00, picked up Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze without knowing anything about them beforehand (coincidentally the same ones as the blog post above). Let me tell you, I was slightly skeptical because whenever I pick up drugstore makeup without previous research, it's usually a miss.
ReplyDeleteEXCEPT THIS TIME. Holy cow, I'm so impressed! I put on the Bronze one without a base or anything, 7 hours later, NO CREASE LADIES. Amazing stuff. Tested on my hand, and let the product dry before trying to rub, and it wouldn't budge. I'm going back tomorrow to pick up more colours - something I never do.
LOVE these shadows! I currently own 5 and think they're fantastic. Only wish they were a bit cheaper!
ReplyDeletegah....I FINALLY found these at two CVS but they were way picked over and didn't have my tough as taupe. :(
ReplyDeletethe displays at my stores are large, but only have two of each color in stock...the search continues!
Just wanted to let you know I spotted these at CVS in AZ last night, and the set up looks about the same, but bigger!
ReplyDeleteI saw the shadows at Target $5.99 in the Jax, Fl area.
ReplyDeleteOMG I purchased 2 of the 24hr tattoo eyeshadows today from Kmart...during their Buy 1 Get 1 50%off sale. It ended up being 2 for $10.xx. The color payoff is amazing!!!
ReplyDeletei spotted them at Walmart and Walgreens today in St. Louis, MO. $5.84 at Walmart; $6.99 at Wags.
ReplyDeleteJust got these :) grabbed 2 from target; Teal and Orange ones. (6.59 each). But the better deal is at Ulta! theyre BOGO 50% off + add their 3.50 off 10 coupon = you get 2 for $7.00 :) I got another two, the Pomegranate Punk and the Taupe to give to my sister! :) im really loving them as they stay on and doesnt crease on my oily eyelids! (no primer needed!)
ReplyDeleteAre these LE or permanent? I don't wanna rush to the store if they're permanent anyway :P
