Over the past year, Rite Aid has been offering extra incentives in addition to the usual BOGO1/2OFF deals, which include +UP Rewards when you meet a certain threshold (usually $10).
Today I'd like to explain to those new to Rite Aid exactly how much you can save during these types of sales by using an example in this week's circular:
- Through 9/17, all Revlon cosmetics are BOGO1/2OFF and if you spend $10, you'll get $4 back in +UP Rewards (basically store credit, which will print on your receipt).
- Buy two Revlon lipsticks that retail for $7.99 each. Your total would normally be $15.98 (before tax), but with the BOGO1/2OFF sale, your total goes down to $11.98.
- Now that you're at $11.98, you qualify for the +UP Rewards (it's always important to note with these deals that your total is calculated AFTER the BOGO1/2OFF deduction). So when you pay for the lipsticks, you'll get $4 in +UP Rewards on your receipt.
- Since +UP Rewards are as good as cash at Rite Aid, this brings your grand total down from $11.98 to $7.98 for two lipsticks.
Since the full retail price of most Revlon lipsticks is $7.99, you basically just scored yourself a BOGOFREE!
PS: And of course this deal is even better if you have any Revlon manufacturer's coupons, since coupon deductions don't count against the minimum purchase threshold! Also, please note that there's a limit of 1 on this offer, so you can't roll over your +UP Rewards.

I also bought an Essie polish yesterday for less than $6 at CVS yesterday using $2 in Extrabucks from my purchase of the Softsoap Body Butter Coconut Scrub that's on sale this week. Then, yesterday, I also received an e-mail coupon for $1 off any Essie product (the coupon also includes Garnier and Maybelline products) as part of my Beauty Club membership, so I was given an extra $3 off my total purchase. The coupon expires 9/19.
