I've got two-part question for you this week, my lovelies, so I hope you'll take a minute to leave your answer in the comments. I can't wait to see your responses!
Is there a drugstore makeup brand that you tend to gravitate toward above all others?
If so, what's the brand and why are you drawn to it?
For many years I was always drawn to Max Factor because I wore their Pan Stick foundation and mascara religiously. Then I was drawn to L'Oreal for a few years, and then switched over to Maybelline. Now, I seem to be drawn equally to a handful of drugstore brands that always seem to capture my attention, but I don't have one particular brand that I tend to favor above all others--I really love certain products from a variety of brands. What about you?
Revlon :) I don't know why but most of makeup is from this brand. They're just one of the best.
ReplyDeleteGreat question. I think I tend to gravitate towards Essie or OPI nail polishes... as for makeup, I don't have just one brand. I usually check Maybelline, WnW, Revlon, and Covergirl. ELF too if the store carries it.
ReplyDeleteIm drawn to Revlon! Their lip products are of such great quality.
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite is REVLON. They were the very first to make a purple make up line. My favorite color. And when they do limited edition, THEY MAKE IT READILY AVAILABLE!
ReplyDeleteUnlike wet n wild which is a stressful treasure hunt only to be disappointed that you cant find it after 2 months of searching every drug store in your neighborhood every other day.
I also like the pigmentation of revlon and color selections.
I too gravitate towards Revlon because they don't test on animals and always have good products except for their eyeshadows, I don't like those. I have a lot of WnW eyeshadows that I love. Those two brands are pretty much what I go for always. Never covergirl or maybelline or any of the brands that test on animals.
ReplyDeleteI dont have a paticular brand. I wear Rimmel foundation,Milani blush and eyeliner, WnW, maybelline and covergirl eyeshadow, and Loreal or Maybelline mascara. As far as lipsticks im really loving the NYX lipsticks, but i also have alot of Rimmel lipsticks. But if i had to pick Rimmel and Milani r my faves.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm shopping drugstore makeup I always gravitate towards Wet N Wild strictly for the eyeshadows... they're amazing! And you cannot beat the price!
ReplyDeletePhysicians Formula. It might be the most expensive in the drugstore, but I find it to be the best.
ReplyDeleteMaybelline for sure. I love their foundations, mascaras, and eye shadows. And they are the one liquid foundation brand that never breaks me out!!
ReplyDeletewet n wild and nyc because they're so cheap and in my opinion they are better quality than the more expensive drugstore brands
ReplyDeleteYES! Revlon. I'm so rarely ever disappointed, and the quality is even better than a lot of high end products. I always go straight to the Revlon section, and I am more willing to try things from them sight-on-seen.
ReplyDeleteI do think Wet n' Wild and Physicians Formula are in the same realm, but I have had some serious duds with them before.
Great question - probably Revlon for me too - in my mind I've always associated it with higher quality than most other drug store brands. I think they have a solid but diverse range and keep a good flow of interesting and new colors and products to play with.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm drawn to certain brands for certain products. I love Revlon for Lipsticks, lipgloss, foundation, concealer, cream blush, and eyeliner. I love Almay's Foundations, powders, and liquid eyeliner. I also love their triple effect mascara but I didn't have luck with any of their others. I love L'oreal for mascara, blush, and liquid liner. I love Wet 'n WIld eyeshadows, blush, and nail polish. I like a lot of maybelline mascaras and sometimes I find luck with their foundations and powders. I like the original colorsensational lipsticks. I LOVE prestige mascaras and lip gloss. I tend to stay away from covergirl except maybe lashblast; I guess I just haven't established trust with them yet. I find that the brands I go to for face products don't do color products as well and vice versa. Overall I really like L'oreal and Revlon because I feel that their packaging looks nicer because it is usually plain and not too flashy. I think that when the packaging isn't too flashy it looks more expensive.
ReplyDeleteRimmel for me. I've used many of their products, and I have NEVER been disappointed. All the other drugstore brands have let me down before, but not Rimmel.
ReplyDeleteI am not drawn to any one brand. Each brand seems to have its speciality.
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to Revlon. I am in love with their lipsticks and i always end up checking their other stuff out
ReplyDeleteI am a Maybelline girl for sure. 90% of the makeup I own is Maybelline and if only they could come up with a tinted moisterizer I would be in heaven! I currently use Physician's Formula for my foundation/powder, because I honestly don't like to wear much foundation, but I did try the FITME line from Maybelline and it's great if you want to wear full foundation; I prefer something lighter. Covergirl and L'oreal would probably be second place.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit all over the place with drugstore brands, except when it comes to lip products. Then I gravitate straight towards Revlon. their color selection is huge, and I absolutely love their lipgloss formula. Plus, their packaging is understated and sleek :)
ReplyDeleteI gravitate towards...sale/clearance stickers! lol Really though, I scan for yellow/orange stickers before anything else, and then go check out the limited edition displays to see what's new. I'm not particular about brands but do find I am usually happy with L'Oreal, Revlon, Milani, and WnW products. Clearance stickers on those? I'm all over that and stocking up!
ReplyDeleteI do love my Revlon!!!! Love the lipstick and gloss formulas. Like the nail polishes and some of the eyeshadows. I dont wear foundation per se so I dont buy any line of drugstore foundations.
ReplyDeleteI would say either Maybelline or Revlon, lately though I've tried all the products that I would be interested in from those two brands, so I'm looking for other brands / products
ReplyDeleteELF I would say. If I can find a product that I really love for 3.00 bucks or less - I'm willing to try em out.
ReplyDeleteHoly Grail type ELF items: Studio Undereye Concealer and Highlighter. Makeup Mist and Set, ALL of the Studio cream eyeliners. 1.00 lip glosses - Trendsetter and Pink Lemonade are marvelous.
I am always drawn toward Wet N Wild and NYC. I love the foundations from NYC and the colors from Wet N wild are always pigmented so there won't be any surprises when i get the product home! And the blushes from NYC are the bomb!
