A little while back I showed you some pics of the new CoverGirl Natureluxe collection, but my pal Rach found another display and kind enough to send some pics my way. If you'd like more info on these new goodies, be sure to check out Amber's thoughts here. I am quite excited to try both the gloss balm and foundation. And, well, I adore this packaging!

So, have you already spotted this collection in your area? If so, have you purchased anything? I am really loving the concept of a "gloss balm" and again, this packaging is calling out to me! As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks again to Rach for the awesome pics!
ugh, the l/s tip is sticking out...which means it's going to be a pain in the butt when using it and trying not to nick it :\

ReplyDeleteI picked up two of these in the San Diego area. I got Coral and Anemone (that bright red in the picture) So far I like both. They go on easy, spell AWESOME and give a nice sheer color. Although the Coral is too sheer. Its bright orange in the tube but essentially was clear on my lips which was a disappointment. Luckily I own L'Oreal Colour Juice Lip Gloss in Melon Punch which gives the color that the CG Coral should give
ReplyDeleteI'm on the lookout for these, I thought they didn't come out til January of next year... DEFINITELY be watching now. Thanks:]
ReplyDeleteI'm a mineral girl so I won't get the foundation. But the lip colors 'might' get me. From what Jane just wrote though, I'm thinking they are too sheer for me.
ReplyDeleteHi, G! I bought this tinted lip balm when I also bought 2 of the CG Lip Perfection lipsticks, and I'm happy with it. It IS sheer, but that's ok, 'cause I bought a great merlot color that shows up fine when I just apply more. I like the feel and smell of this balm, BUT... it's almost the same price as the new CG lipstick, which is pretty pricey for a simple product like a lip balm. The size of the tube is just like the Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers, but this costs at least 2 times more. =/ Overall, I'm happy because I love the color, but I don't feel the need to buy any others from this line. I have tons of lip products already, and this is just a balm, after all. There isn't any staying power, and not tons of pigment, so exactly why are we paying 7 or 8 bucks for a balm? Hmmm... for me, I just wanted the color. The color reminds me of my BB's Lip Shimmer in Merlot (do you see the pattern here?) which is no longer manufactured... =( , but the smell is kind of like either Dr. Pepper or like the Devine Lip Shimmer, which I also really like. Hope this helps! Thanks for your wonderful blog!! =)
ReplyDeleteHi, I actually found these at my grocery store of all places! I picked up one of the gloss balms in the color Cinnamon. It is a nice & moisturizing but not super long lasting. I think they are a nice product but if I were to try any other colors I would wait for a sale or coupon at least. Even though they are nice, I wasn't super impressed with them(like OMG I need more! but I think they would be nice to try on sale.
ReplyDeletei picked up the lip balm. it's such a pretty, light color! it feels nice too and smells like vanilla. i'm pretty happy. :-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if those foundations are repackaged BB creams from P&G's Asian lines. (e.g. how L'Oreal-owned Maybelline sells a BB cream in Asia, their SkinGenesis complexion equalizer had a very similarly-formulated equivalent in L'Oreal White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening for some time before it came out here, etc.) Probably not, but the particular shape of the tube packaging & "natural" motif are curious.
