I can't believe another week has flown by and it's already time for a new question! Here we go:
When we move from one season to the next, what type of makeup products do you get excited to purchase for the new season?
For me, it's lipcolor and nail color. I get so excited to see the new limited edition drugstore displays, and I really enjoy the new crop of seasonal colors that come out because it's such a welcomed change of pace from the colors of the past season.
So how about you? What makeup products are you excited to purchase for fall? Or do you stick to the same basic group of products throughout the year?

ReplyDeleteHmm, I don't usually use make up, but I'm obsessed about nail polish, so that's usually what I look forward to. I love seeing new displays at drugstores!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I usually like looking at all the lipcolors coming out and seeing what variations on the normal seasonal colors there are.
ReplyDeleteI get excited about new skin care products. I guess i have too much makeup to get excited about the new colors, but I'm always excited about the new skin care for each new season!

ReplyDeletei have enough MU that i wear the colours i feel like all year round- though the season definitely influences my colour choices.
so i get excited to change moisturizers and foundation formulas. i already have my fall foundation- the Maybelline Eraser one, which, i'm happy to say, i got for $6 thanks to a CVS special and a rip-pad coupon.
(also got 3 ECB, woot! when that runs out i'm trying Revlon PhotoReady which i'll buy with ECBs in Sept.)
I like not having to worry about long-lasting, sweatproof MU anymore come fall. and in fall you can get away with really saturated colours, especially on lips. :D
Whatever's limited edition LOL I'm such a sucker for them :<

ReplyDeletePretty much the only makeup item that I follow season-to-season is nail polish. I do wear makeup, but what I wear doesn't change that much through the year.
ReplyDeleteI live for new nail polish. My makeup is pretty consistent regardless of season. Hve you seen the glitters in the OPI collection for the fall? Several are backup bottle worthy!
ReplyDeleteI live in Miami, so we don't really have seasons. But I do get excited over the new colors of nail polish that come out!
ReplyDeleteThe only time the weather interferes with my make-up choices is during the summer. I'll keep my eye make-up minimal and focus on lip products. But I'll pretty much wear all the colors of the rainbow any time of the year. LOL
Definitely lip products! I have often been obsessed with lip products.
ReplyDeleteIt really depends what kind of "mood" I'm in. For months, I'll be really into lip products, then "face" products (blushes, highlighters, etc.), then eyeshadows, and so on..
ReplyDeleteDuring these phases, I usually stick to buying JUST those products with a few other things on the side.
It depends on the colors and releases... Mostly, eyeshadow, though, because I loooooove eyeshadow, hahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI admit I am an eyeshadow junkie. I must have every shade under the sun, but still keep getting "one" more. Don't care about nail polish.. it almost bores me...hahaha to each his own I say. Now, where's that next shadow????

ReplyDeleteOh, and have you seen the limited edition Wet n Wild Craze eyeshadow duos? I saw them at Walgreens yesterday. I got the prettiest green duo. The lighter colors is rather sheer, but the darker green is super pigmented and they're both beautiful!
Nail polish and eyeshadow are the only two that I look forward to in regards to seasons. I don't really stick to wearing them during those seasons though. I will wear neon pink in winter!

I usually look forward to new eye shadows and sometimes lip colors even though I probably won't buy any new colors since I feel like I have enough for all year round! Still - it is fun to see what people can come up with next.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for seasonally scented body washes, lotions, lip balms, etc. (Not really a makeup item but it's beauty related.) Fall and winter products are usually my favorites because they're warmer, food-y type smells. :D

def lip color! I go through phases until I find the perfect nude, pink, whatever, then I move on to the next color. I just got over a light pink phase, onto pink-y brown neutral phase!
ReplyDeleteEye shadows! For summer I'm experimenting with fun shade-changing colors from Fyrinnae. Come fall I will purchase a few Almay Pure Blends eyeshadows - hues of brown to match with my Zuii in Sunflower (a yellow hue) and my Lancome in Pose (a metalic orange-brown) in order to create autumn eye looks. I also tend to change my perfume with the season. Craving something linden-tree based for the fall.

ReplyDeleteFor me it's more shades than products-- darker and/or more intense shades as it gets colder, lighter and/or brighter shades as it gets warm.

ReplyDeleteI love the new body washes and lotions that BBW puts out!! Winter is best time for vanilla scents!! Otherwise I'd say lip products, I'm obsessed with buying new colors, yet honestly I use it maybe twice a week at most... Oh well, they look pretty sitting on my counter!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite beauty product is blush, so I get really excited when I see new blush displays. Second that that are seeing new lip products. I like finding new drugstore displays more than I like looking at the displays at Sephora. :)
ReplyDeleteFor me its foundation, I love knowing that fall is coming up and I can use my favorite foundation and try some other ones out, because of the weather change the foundation will also stay. Also, I love buying blushes, I have my summer blushes and my winter blushess.
