Even thought it sure doesn't feel like it in certain parts of the country, Spring is right around the corner and it's time to start showing off our toes in cute sandals again! So this week's question is geared toward the big springtime toe-unveiling! Please leave your answers in the comments--I can't wait to read them!
What nail polish color do you plan to use on your toes for your first springtime 2010 pedi?
Some of you may be lucky enough to live in a climate where you have already worn sandals this year, so if that's the case, let us know your favorite shade for toes this spring. For the rest of us, let me know what color you're excited to bust out and use for your first springtime pedi! I'm thinking about using the new Wet n Wild Wild Shine shade, Sunny Side Up, since I haven't used a bright orange creme on my toes in well, forever! How about you?
I just bought Sunny Side Up yesterday! I think that's a great first time pedi color...I'll use something like that , or a pretty pastel purple maybe
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting on some polish to arrive, but until it does, my choices go back and forth between China Glaze Atlantis (it's just SO AWESOME in sunshine) or Del Sol Foxy...or maybe Day Dreamer! I'm going to have some fun with the sun this year. :)
ReplyDeleteI found a really pretty color by China Glaze called Thistle. It's a light pastel purple color. Can't wait to try it when I get home!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on using Milani Hi-Tech, a gorgeous holographic bright grass green, for my first official springtime pedicure. It's going to look amazing in the sun!
ReplyDeleteMy first pedi will probably be something from the new Orly collection, either Gumdrop or Lollipop. They are both pastels. Last summer I couldn't get enough of Essie Shelter Island, a turquoise blue creme.
ReplyDeleteI will also be using WnW's Sunny Side Up, I loooove that color! It reminds me of those orange creamsicle ice-cream pops that I used to get from the ice-cream truck all the time. :)
ReplyDeletePastel colors, I purchase some new shades from WnW yesterday so I am eager to use especially the coral colors.
ReplyDeleteOPI Done Out in Deco, for sure! My friends have been coming over to use mine, haha.
ReplyDeleteProbably China Glaze Strawberry Fields. It's just such a cheery pop of color!
ReplyDeleteBTW, have you seen/heard anything about new Revlon pastel polishes? I saw a photo of what looked like a few dupes of Essie/OPI colors on someone's MUA account the other day and I wasn't sure if they were from a brand new collection or if I'd just missed them.
How timely! I just did my toenails yesterday in preparation for spring break next week. And then we got snow flurries last night, of course. Oh, well. It's supposed to warm up this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm wearing Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow. It's perfect for the beach. (Which is where I'm going, but only for a couple of days.)
I keep my pedi done through the winter, my nails and toes always match... but when it is time to pull out the open toes I will go with a pretty orange or pink. Maybe Essie Flawless. :)
ReplyDeleteChina Glaze, up and away collection!
ReplyDeleteEither China Glaze HeliYum or China Glaze High Hopes. I love bright colors on my toes. :)
ReplyDeleteprobably orly green with envy. it's an awesome teal color.

ReplyDeleteI'm really feeling like corals and teals right now, and those are both great for pedicures, so probably one of those. :D
ReplyDeleteI just painted mine a hot pink with red microglitter..its a random brand a picked up from an asian store.
ReplyDeleteBUT, speaking of nail polishes...i just got back from Ulta and they had a HUGE clearance section with tons of nail polishes, including OPI, china glaze, rimmel, a couple of expensive brands i didn't recognize and their own ulta brand! I got 4 OPI and China Glaze Atlantis nail poishes for $1.99 each!! The color selection is obviously a little limited but if you take the time to look thru all the stuff, its totally worth it. Hope Ulta near you has the same thing going on!
I was so excited to polish my toes, but recently I stubbed my toe on my guitar case and the nail broke off! When it heals I will go for a bright purple or blue, probably sinful colors in Fiji or Love Nails.
ReplyDeleteI keep my toes polished year round, but I am leaving for the beach next weekend and am about to use OPI Shorts Story for my vacay pedi color. I love HOT pink toes! =)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where to buy Orly? Do any drugstores carry it? Or just Ulta and Sally's? Does anyone know if the Sweet Collection is out @ Ulta yet? I'm DYING for these colors. LOL
ReplyDeleteBTW you should come check out the new Wet'n'Wild quads. They're not even on the site yet!

Ladies! Wow! Thank you SO much for taking the time to answer my question! I am overwhelmed with new ideas for my springtime pedis! I don't even know where to start, and I'm so excited to see these colors in person. :)
ReplyDeleteJ: I have not seen the new Revlon spring pastels yet, but I've seen both UK and Canadian bloggers mention them, so I'm wondering if they are just late on introducing these to US drugstores?? Have you seen them in your area?
Anu P.: Thanks so much for the heads-up about the wonderful sale at Ulta! Wow! The closest Ulta to me is still a very far drive, so I don't think I'll have a chance to take advantage of this deal, but I'm sure some of my other readers will be all over it! :)
Cynthia: CVS carries Orly. Depending on what location you visit, some CVS stores display the new collections in counter displays, while others just tend to stock the nail care items (Bonder, top coats, etc.). It really depends! Also, thanks for the heads up about those new quads. They totally remind me of the Starry Eye Slicks quads they released *last* spring. Check it out:
