A little while ago, a lovely reader left a comment here on Nouveau Cheap indicating that Walgreens had some Wet n Wild nail polishes on sale for 3/$2. Ever since then, I've been looking for this sale, and I know a lot of you have as well. The other day I spotted this permanent corner display on the opposite side of the cosmetics aisle (near the soaps and body washes) at my local Walgreens:
At the top of the display it clearly says "3/$2" and in the display are eyeliners, lipliners, lipsticks, Mega Mixers and ALL of the Wild Shine polishes (new colors and old). All I can say is WOW! This is awesome!
So ladies, tell me, have you seen this permanent display at YOUR Walgreens? I'd really like to know if this is a nation-wide promotion that we call can enjoy!
Oh, and one more thing I spotted at my Walgreens--select shades of the new Rimmel polishes are on clearance for $1.99:

ReplyDeleteI have seen some of (not all) my local Rite-Aids clearancing their entire old Wet n Wild displays at 75% off. So if your Wags doesn't have it you might be able to get it there.
I didn't see this at Wags last night, but I bought a ton of Rimmel and WnW anyway!
ReplyDeleteIve seen this at my Walgreens in Mira Mesa at the end of the haircare aisle. Also, just got back from CVS, and my extracare printed out a buy one get one free on Milani up to $9.99. CVS currently has buy one, get one 50%, so not sure if you can combine, but even if you can't, the coupon is great!

ReplyDeleteThe Rimmel polishes aren't on clearance. They're on mega-saver, which are Walgreens monthly sales. So don't worry about them disappearing anytime soon. ^_^
I'm about to run to Walgreens to pick up some prescriptions for my mom, so I'll be sure to check out the makeup while I'm there!
I saw the permanent corner WnW display marked as 3/$2 but they all rang up .99 a piece. I didn't notice until after I had left, so make sure to check your receipt! Walgreens has 50% off all Rimmel cosmetics this week..so I'm not sure if they are including nail or not because I haven't been to the store yet this week

ReplyDeleteI saw this wet n wild display on Feb 23, shopping for my niece's birthday. Picked up a ton of stuff between me, my two sisters and our niece. There is also a good deal on Revlon this week. Everything is 40% off, and then there's $5 off a $10 purchase. Also, for anyone who collects coupons, there is a $1 off Revlon coupon from a couple weeks ago, for only Walgreens that will stack with the $2 manufactur's coupon right next to it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see this at my Wlagreens but I haven't there in a couple days so I have to go check. I need me some more Rimmel polishes, I bought some from Walgreens that were on sale and didn't know their quality was terrific, almost like OPI.

My Walgreens, Rite Aid AND CVS seem to have a lot of issues with sale prices not ringing up (I've been burned several times before so now I always check my receipts before I even leave the store) so it sounds like we all need to be careful and check closely. My Walgreens did have the Wet n Wild display when I went tonight, so I got Dreamy Poppy, Blazed, and Carribbean Frost. Very happy. I wanted more of the Rimmel nail polishes, especially since in the newspaper coupons I saw a couple $1 off any Rimmel product coupons, but my store hasn't restocked them yet. I may ask for a raincheck if they don't by the 27th.
ReplyDeleteAnd while I was there I found some Frederic Fekkai Protein RX conditioner for $5.50 for a full sized bottle on clearance. <3 I keep trying to decide whether to go back for the shampoo too...
We do have that Wet n Wild display at the target I work at, I'm in Charlotte, NC. Just to let you know, that Rimmel isn't clearanced. It's a temporary sale. That MegaSaver goes off on the 27th. The MegaSavers change each month. :-)
