I wrote a review a while ago about how much I love the Mini Squeeze Tube Lipgloss in "Hoopla" (not sticky, beautiful sheer red, smells and tastes like chocolate covered cherries) and I think I want to try some other colors:
(Click the images to be taken to the Sally Girl page on the Sally website)
And then of course I also looove these eyeshadow singles that snap together:
The Sally Girl nail polishes have been hit-or-miss for me but I'm more than willing to try some other shades (Have you tried any? Do you recommend any colors in particular?):
And finally, I have yet to try Sally Girl Blush. Please let me know if you own any of these--I'd love to know your thoughts!
Do you have any Sally Girl favorites that I should know about? Please fill me in! Thanks ladies. :)
PS: And of course you know I'll review everything I end up buying.
PSS: I just noticed that China Glaze is also on sale this week ($4.99). Yikes!
I'm surprised they run a sale in the middle of the month. Thought all the sales are announced at the beginning of the month :-)
ReplyDeleteI think with a Sally's Card, you already pay less than the sale price ($4.99) for China Glaze, no?
Halifax, you constantly amaze me with your knowledge! lol! I haven't had my Sally's Card for that long so
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I don't know all of the benefits of this card yet! If I can get ChG for cheaper than $4.99 than you can bet I'm picking up a bottle today when I get these Sally Girl products! Thanks, as always, for the heads-up! xo
i may check out that sale when i go in there later this week. i currently have on a sally girl nail color called "way cool". it's a day glow pink (wow). i like the sally girl nail colors for the colors, but when it dries, it's very matte. definitely need a top coat for them.
ReplyDeleteLol, R, I'm digging all the membership cards. China Glaze is CAD3.99 with the card over here, and $3.25 over there (I think).
ReplyDeleteJust look on the little white sticker on the product where a long Sally code is printed, the last 3 (or 4) digits should be the price for card members. Have fun saving :-)
OMG, Cheap Chica! I bought a neon purple Sally Girl polish a while ago and I freaked out because it was sooo matte (not a good look for neons, if you ask me). I had no idea that other Sally Girl colors were matte too, so thank you for this comment! I'm going to ask the sales clerks about which ones are matte before I make a purchase. Thanks so much for this! :)
ReplyDeleteHalifax, where would I be without you? LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteI tried the Sally Girl eye shadows in the 2 brightest greens (I don't remember the name). They lasted well and stayed vivid. I have oily lids so I applied it under a DIY eye shadow primer. They still creased a bit but I live in a very hot and humid climate plus I have oily mono lids (yes, I'm doomed).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my sister had a dance recital and I tried it on her too. I also used Sally Girl loose glitter in a clear iridescent color over the green eye shadow. It worked very well and looked great! She said she had loads of complements. The glitter allowed the greens to be seen through. Her eye make up lasted well over 6 hours. No creasing.
Side Note: I applied the glitter with Sally Girl glue (.99 cents). The glue's first ingredient is water so cleaning my brush wasn't difficult. Very little fallout throughout the evening.
Hi Anon! Thanks for letting me know how the Sally Girl eyeshadows worked for you. I totally agree that they do work better with a primer but for the price, they're pretty darn good!
ReplyDeleteThe way you did your sister's eyes sounds amazing! I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I need glitter. What a great bargain for those products! And thanks for the tip about the glue--I didn't even know they sold that there! :)
Hi! You are welcome. I've been lurking a while but never had anything to contribute. lol!
ReplyDeleteOne more thing about Sally Girl eye shadows according to a youtube person MAC 's Jewel Blue eye shadow = Sally Girl's Aqua. (See here:

Also, the reason I bought the iridescent glitter was coz I could use it with any color eye shadow and therefore more economical since I don't use glitter often if ever.
