The Wednesday Question
Time again for The Wednesday Question. I love hearing what you have to say, so please read the following question and leave an answer in the comments!
What is your go-to eyeshadow? (Shade and brand, please.)
We all have that one eyeshadow that is easy to throw on, can be worn alone and works when we're in a hurry and just need to put something on our lids to help us look a little more polished for the day. So come on, what's your "I'm running late and need to make this quick" eyeshadow?

Maybelline's eyeshadow in Beach Blush. One of the newer singles. LOVE IT for crease, for lid. Lasts all day. It is great.
ReplyDeleteI use Cover Girl's Eye Enhancers (the four-shade ones) in Country Woods.
ReplyDeleteBenefit's Creaseless Cream shadow in Skinny Jeans. So easy to wear, and buildable for the evening too :)
ReplyDeleteHi ladies! I must try each one of these! Thank you! I can *never* have enough go-to eyeshadow colors in my stash. :)
ReplyDeleteMy go to, never fail set is the Wet 'n' Wild Ultimate Expressions Eyeshadow Palette in Sand Castle. The pigmentation is unreal, the lasting power is fantastic, and the price is unbeatable!
ReplyDeleteMy 'go to' eyeshadow is MAC's Naked Lunch or All That Glitters.
ReplyDeletei often turn to Rimmel quad shadow in Smokey Brun for neutral, smokin', and/or work-friendly eyes. in fact, i need a new one!
ReplyDeletethe new Maybelline Smokes look awfully dependable...
MAC Satin Taupe. :) Or if I'm REALLY in a hurry I grab one of my mad minerals creme eyeshadows because they are sooo quick and easy.
ReplyDeleteCan't say I have 1 go to shadow, as I go to too many shadows, almost daily :-) But I can say my go to palette for quick eye makeup for work is Coastal Scents 88's. When I have a bit more time, I turn to pigments
ReplyDeleteBare Escentuals Coffee Bean - works great as liner AND powder.
ReplyDeletebareMinerals Cupcake eyeshadow never fails me ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Thank you to everyone who commented on what their go-to eyeshadow is and why. I now have lots of different products to try. Yay! (I think the only eyeshadows I've used on this list are MAC Satin Taupe and WnW Sand Castle and I love them both.)
ReplyDeletePS: Meredith--Those WnW palettes have the best texture and pigmentation ever! And Sand Castles has such great colors to use for an everyday look. Such a great bargain, too. :)
I have a couple of choices:
ReplyDelete1. Aromaleigh - Phyrra
2. Fyrinnae - Rapunzel Had Extensions
3. Fyrinnae - Nijiro
4. L'Oreal Hip - Restless
I will grab for one of these shades if I need an eye shadow to be worn alone that looks flattering on me.
Phyrra is a custom color that is a sheer peach shade with blue reflect so it sort of matches the skin tone and when it catches the light it's a soft blue.
Rapunzel Had Extensions is this golden pink-peach shade that when the light catches it, it turns gold. It's really amazing all by itself.
Nijiro is an ivory color with rainbow sparkles, highly flattering and brightens the eye area.
Restless is a creamy color, almost gold, with a pink reflect.
Phyrra! All of the colors you listed sound absolutely gorgeous. I must check these out (I've been wanting to try Fyrinnae products for the longest time). Thank you so much! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome :)
ReplyDeleteYou can find looks on my blog with me wearing them :)
And definitely try Fyrinnae!
I love them!
Hi Phyrra! I am off to check out your blog now! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteMaybelline Natural Smokes quad, the lid and crease color are very flattering on me :)
