Today I have some lovely swatches for you, courtesy of reader Kat (@kittykatdoesmakeup on Instagram)! Be sure to check out her blog post HERE for her thoughts about pigmentation, texture, and staying power.
NOTE: Kat swatched all of these palettes on bare skin--no primer.

What do you think? Have you already ordered any of these palettes? I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks again, Kat, for the fantastic swatches and insights--I truly appreciate it!
I love the cool neutrals and the brights palette. Even though I don't wear a ton of brights everyday I would love to have it for accent colors on the lower lash line, plus it's just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for the swatches for that Brights palette, I love them! I might have to pick that up.
ReplyDeleteSlightly off topic but still Nyx related, I wanted to just say how disappointed I was with my first Nyx mascara. I bought it at Target, and when I opened it, it had a weird smell. Not like a makeup smell but it smelled moldy! This is the first time I've ever had a problem with Nyx stuff, I was shocked really. I'm such a huge fan, their stuff probably makes up a good chunk of my makeup bag. It was the Nyx Pin Up Tease mascara.
Regardless, I plan on picking up the brights I think. Neutrals are so not my thing.
Thanks for the swatches Kat & G!
It's too bad I don't wear bright shadows bc that palette looks really great. I was lusting over the warm neutrals but after looking over a few of the palettes I own, I'm gonna pass (for now anyway) bc I feel like I have a majority of those shades.
ReplyDeleteThose nights are pretty. I have the LE WnW palette in Hemporary Solution so I'll pass for now, but it's really tempting.
ReplyDeleteThe swatches look surprisingly good! Still though...the formula of viseart is hard to compete with, specifically how they blend together. The viseart palettes are such that you can dip your brush into multiple pans to create whatever color you want- I've never found that before in an eyeshadow formula. Interested to see some review on these.
ReplyDeleteWarm Neutrals is calling my name!
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome!!! Thanks for posting them as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to pick up that brights palette!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that brights palette looks fun!!
ReplyDeleteThe warm and bright pallets have my name on them lol
ReplyDeleteThis definitely confirms that I'm going to be picking up the brights and maybe the smoky and cool neutrals! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSigh. I had high hopes for the cool neutrals palette but it looks a little "meh" to me. What a bummer. That brights palette, though .... I am strictly a neutrals girl but those shadows look AWESOME and it might be nice to have those shades around "just in case" (said like a true makeup addict). :-)
ReplyDeletetotally agree, they look a little muddy on the skin. I was hoping the shades would come off with more variety. The search for a good quality, low cost, cool neutrals palette continues...
DeleteWOW color me impressed! I think I may need that colorful one!
ReplyDeleteI actually wasn't planning on buying these, but I like the lavender, the "undead" blue—looks similar to the one from Melt's Dark Matter eyeshadow stack and like a better performing version of... Tornay, if I recall, from Kat Von D Chrysalis (too lazy to check my own swatches LOL), and the purple in the Cool Neutrals palette. The Brights look great, and I'm considering the Smokey and Highlight palette because the red, the blue-gray and that simply killer navy. The green seems like a rando throw-in but could be a nifty inner corner highlight. But I have enough eyeshadow to kill a horse... It'll be a fabulous dead horse though! ;D
ReplyDeleteOn another note, does anyone know where the NYX Brights liners are made or if they're hypoallergenic?
I will look forward to someone doing swatches and comparisons on these with Viseart.
ReplyDeleteI swatched these at ulta and imo they're far less pigmented than what is shown. Those must be some seriously heavy swatches...
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for some shades like these and I like NYX's to-go palettes, but these just didn't do it for me! I doubt they would translate well onto your eye - here's hoping I'm wrong! lol!
That's what I found too, Michelle.
