I've heard from several readers this week that the annual Walgreens Winter Beauty Clearance Sale has begun! As with years past, I've created this page so that you can share what you've spotted on clearance at your local Walgreens with others. I've received some tips from a few of you that some of the items that are currently on clearance at Rite Aid (click here to see) and CVS (click here to see) are also coming up on clearance at Walgreens, EVEN IF THERE ARE NO TAGS on the display. So again, try taking some products that you see on clearance here and here to the register and ask an associate to scan them...they just might come up on clearance in the system, even if there are no tags present.
Please read the following tips, which I have created after several years of covering this sale:
- If you do not see clearance stickers on the displays at your store, take some items to the register and ask a cashier to scan them. They might come up on clearance in the system even if you don't see the yellow tags on the displays.
- Walgreens allows you to use coupons on clearance merchandise, which means you might be able to score some of these products for free or close to free if you have any coupons.
- Sometimes Walgreens will apply weekly sale offers to clearance merchandise. This doesn't happen all the time, but it never hurts to try!
- Just because something is marked on clearance during one of these sales does not necessarily mean that it's about to be discontinued. HOWEVER, often times it is an indicator that the product is about to be discontinued. If you love anything listed below, I wouldn't hesitate to stock up, just in case the product does eventually get discontinued.
- There is no end-date to this type of sale, as the object is to get old product out and bring in new product. So these products should be on sale until most everything is wiped out and the new 2014 products take their places.

ReplyDeleteYou need to check out the items on the cvs and rite aid clearance list to get an idea of the things on clearance at Walgreens. Toes lists are in the paragraph above. You can also check out the Instagram hashtag she suggested...
Deleteawesome pictures! I don't wear the decal strips often, but I'm tempted to pick up some of those "nail dress" decals. I feel like the CVS clearance might have better deals than the Walgreens one, though.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone needs a great black nail polish and likes the flat brush heads, BUY THE RIMMEL BLACK WHILE IT'S ON CLEARANCE!!
ReplyDeleteI kid not, this is the best black nail polish EVER. The formula and consistency is a perfect mix and never too thin or thick. It's a great one-coater, self levels and lasts for a darn long time. The shine is gorgeous.
I have a stock pile of about three waiting for me whenever anyone puts it on a deep discount. So if this is at your Walgreens, I urge you to give it a try. :)
