A huge thanks to reader lea for this one! Lea left a comment on the You Tell Me page today letting us know that the China Glaze Hologlam holographic polishes are now available for purchase on the Sally Beauty website here. They're $9.99 each ($8.99 for Sally Club members). For swatches of this collection, click here and here.
Also, in case you don't get emails from Sally, this hit my in-box today:
Four full-size China Glaze polishes for $12.99--not bad at all!
I'm not sure if the Hologlam collection is in stores yet, but I believe that the Ombre sets are in stores.
Thanks so much, Lea, for the great tip on the holos!
The ombre sets are $10.95 in Canada, I didn't check the US flyer to compare. It rarely happens that we pay less than you guys though, this seems odd
ReplyDeletei've been trying to buy a (real) holo polish forever! but why are these so expensive! :( i was going to get the color club halo hues collection but those were sold out in the store i went to :( :(
ReplyDeletespectraflair pigment is expensive. Also, I bought the halo hues from rickys the day they came out (in nyc) months later tbe displays are still full in every store, I suspect they will be on clearance soon.
DeleteThe website enospring sells them and a $30 purchase gets you free shipping. I think they are $7.50 each
DeleteI wanted to find China Glaze Holo from a few years ago called OMG however its like $20 or more now and hard to find. I hope these compare. I bought a Layman Hologram polish and am wearing it now. Very disappointed inthe amount of holocaust but it is wearing beautifully. I fully intend yo buy the blue Hombre set! I think it us just stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! What an unfortunate auto correct!
DeleteHoly cow I was trying to be very diligent with my typing and auto correct. I hope I didn't offend any one when my typing of hologram corrected to holocaust. If I did...I apologize! It was not intentional and I can't figure out how to turn off my auto correct of my table. Also right now I am wearing Layla not Layman Hologram!
DeleteI just looked at the swatches for the holos....why couldn't they just do the OMG collection again?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist ~ I picked up all three of these sets!
ReplyDeleteI already picked up the purple one. Will probably cave and get the teal one before long.
ReplyDeleteI don't know my way around much of Denver but I do have one Sally's scouted out. Now to talk with the manager, give her a business card and by her Starbucks so she can call me when those holos hit the store!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe ombre sets were in all the Sally's where I live (Texas) but I didn't see any of the holos yet
ReplyDeleteI picked up the teal and purple.....love them both
ReplyDeleteSooo Pretty
ReplyDeleteI think the Ombre sets are very cool, but I'm not impressed with the Hologlam polishes. I like the holo in Color Club's Halo Hues (both sets) much better, and they're widely available online.
ReplyDeleteI picked up the teal ombre set today, to my eye the For Audrey and Aquadelic are so close in color that I thought one had been missed labeled at first. I swatched both and took them outside, For Audrey has a tad more gray in it, like a smidge. I plan to swap out For Audrey and replace it with Keep Calm,Paint On from the Avant Garden collection. That way there will actually be a 4 part gradient to this ombre set. I also had a 15% off total purchase coupon so it was still a good deal even though I felt like there really is only 3 different polishes in this set.
ReplyDelete@Dani, I saw those sets at Sally Beauty too. I knew For Audrey and Aquadelic looked too close for an Ombre mani. I wanted to complain, but I didn't say anything.
ReplyDeleteNo Hologlam at my Sally's yet, but I will be looking for them!
I'm a little disappointed in how subtle the holo in the Hologlam polishes is. Not sure if I'll even buy any. Then again, Layla Flash Black is also disappointing me, I applied it yesterday and it's already chipped. The one Halo Hues polish I have so far is much, much better. Super strong holo effect AND wore beautifully.
