I know, I know, I'm pretty much obsessed with Dial body washes (click here for my review of the new Dial Naturals Tangerine & Guava body wash). But a few weeks ago, when I finally spotted the Dial & Sanrio Hello Kitty Body Wash at my local Walgreens (they also collaborated on a hand soap), I just HAD to buy it:
Dial Hello Kitty Moisturizing Body Wash
(retail: around $5.99, 16 oz)
I love that, like many other scented Sanrio products, they don't specifically describe the scent. The label just says "fresh, fruit-scented lather". For some reason, I always like the "mystery" of Sanrio products when it comes to their fragrance:
Let me tell you, this body wash does NOT disappoint. I definitely smell some citrus (grapefruit, maybe), and I also smell some berry (raspberry, to my nose). But I also get a "fresh" note, that I can't really put my finger on. Put it this way: if you like the nondescript fragrances of Sanrio products, you'll probably enjoy this one too. I've been using Sanrio products since their first year on the market (1976), and this one is right in line with all the scented erasers, lip balms, etc. that I've owned over the years. It somehow manages to just smell Sanrio-like to me, and I adore it.
As for the lather, it's totally on par with all of my other Dial body washes. A small squirt on my bath pouf yields tons of soft bubbles, and I don't find this body wash drying in the slightest (although it doesn't leave any type of moisturizing coating behind on my skin either).
FINAL VERDICT: If you love Hello Kitty and you love fresh, fruity fragrances, this is a fun new product to add to your collection. I can't help but smile every time I see this bottle in my shower.
Have you spotted the Dial Hello Kitty products in your area yet?
