If you enjoy seeing new 2011 drugstore makeup products, then you've sure come to the right place today! I'm sorry to be loading you up with picture after picture lately, but I hope that most of you like seeing new goodies as much as I do!
My wonderful reader Lindsay just sent me some fantastic pics of the new Maybelline Fit Me line, which I told you about a while back (click here for all the details). This is basically the same concept as L'Oreal True Match, CoverGirl TruBlend, etc.
On a superficial level, what immediately sets Fit Me apart from the rest is the NARS-esque, sleek, modern packaging. Oh my! If the products themselves are as good as their packaging, I'm SOLD!
Also, the price points seem extremely affordable when compared to other new drugstore foundations, powders, etc.
Here are the details, according to Lindsay:
There are 12 total foundations. The whole line is divided into Light, Medium, and Dark. Light is the first two rows, Medium the middle two, and Dark the last two. In each of the three ranges there are 4 foundation options, 2 concealers, 4 pressed powders, 2 blushes, and 1 bronzer.

Lindsay, thank you so very much for the information and awesome pics!
Have you spotted Maybelline Fit Me yet in your area? Are you as drawn to the packaging as I am? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
What are the little things in front of the foundation?
ReplyDeleteDon't apologize -- I love seeing all the new stuff that's on the way!
ReplyDeleteoh la la, fancy packaging.
ReplyDelete$6 for a foundation!! Wow! That's half the price of most DS foundations these days. Definitely will be picking up the foundation, concealer, and maybe powder for that price!
ReplyDeleteWow, it actually reminds me of Victoria Secret VERY SEXY makeup packaging! Really makes it look high end!
ReplyDeleteI think that the packaging is nothing new. But then, I could seriously be biased; I'm not a liquid foundation wearer.
ReplyDeleteAnd there are testers! Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThese totally remind me of Victoria's Secret makeup! I can't wait to try them out!
ReplyDelete@Samysalsa, I think they are testers for the foundations! This is exciting, since drugstores usually don't offer testers.
ReplyDeleteI love how high-end it does look. At a glance, it looks like NARS meets MAC - fancy. And the price tag is lovely, too. That's much cheaper than most drugstore foundations now. Thanks for the update! And for those that took the photos, I've been waiting to see this line. Looks like it's out in someone's Wal Mart, I should go check mine.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear liquid foundation, but I am quite TEMPTED for this price!
ReplyDeleteI am very intrigued! :] Packaging looks great! :]
ReplyDeletei have to agree, it's very victoria's secret-ish w/ the packaging and i LOVE it. thank you for sharing, i will definitely be looking out for these new products :)
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Walmart the other day and had to resist the urge to purchase. I will be interested to see what people think of the foundation though. It looked like there was quite the selection of shades, which is nice for a change!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I really like their cleaver color test window idea. Genius! Perhaps it will help with less items getting tampered.
ReplyDeleteMy first impression was: wow, this must be a light foundation because of the Don't Hide me, Don't Smother me, and Don't change me written on the cardboard. The second thing I thought of was, ok, which wrist do I test with. My left one is much darker because of all the sun from driving, and then again, neither wrist is the same color as my face. So it will be pick and guess as usual. LOL
ReplyDeleteFirst time commenting on your blog, but I've been a long time lurker! haha
ReplyDeleteI like the packaging, it makes it look sleek :D But it seems like it's going to be a bottle without a pump :[
But with the prices I see and the shade selections, I might pick one up! It seems promising :]
There is only so much room on the drugstore shelves... what I am looking forward to is the clearance sales and piles of makeup at Big Lots soon to make room for all these new products being spotted! lol
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the window you stick your wrist under to help find a color match! I like the idea of a bronzer suited for pale skin as well. Unfortunately I'm not a big Maybelline fan although... they are stepping up their game lately!
ReplyDelete(*Long time lurker*) I can't wait to try these! ^^ I really like Maybelline for their mineral wear blushes, so I'm excited to know about the quality of Fit Me.
ReplyDeleteI just bought the FIT ME in the classic ivory... I really really really like this foundation. First off I haven worn a foundation in probably 4 years, I used to only use tinted moisturizers, but this stuff is great. It really buildable, you can go anywhere from light barley there coverage to as much as you need. The powder I also awesome and matches perfect with the foundation. I have had make before where I just bought the "same shade" foundation and powder and they just didnt match up. But this if really good I am a fan... And at some stores they even have little tester bottles (which is awesome!) so can can match your exact shade. Overall great product, great price.. I will be going back to get matching blush :)
ReplyDeleteanyone know if it is non comedogenic?
ReplyDeleteWow I haven't been to the drugstore in too long, can't wait to see these products on the shelves :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to find this!! i have been searching but haven't seen it anywhere near me.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely worth mentioning that those little tiny foundation bottle in front are little testers so that you be sure to pick your correct shade. It's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm in my second week of using Fit in 110. I'm extremely pale and have a peachy-bordering-on-yellow undertone. It works perfectly for me. The foundation is buildable, and blends well. I generally use a primer, but tested it without. It stays put for an 8 hour day and I blot twice and powder once. (I use cut up squares of toilet seat covers for oil-blotting. It's free, it works ladies, but never use the first one.)I will note that if, like me you have oily skin, you will be blotting to maintain an acceptable finish throughout the day. Over all I'm going to give this an 8.5 and highly recommend it as a day-to-day foundation.
