Here's another update regarding the recent news that e.l.f. products are going to be sold at Target stores in the US beginning Nov. 1st. If you want to see my previous updates, click here and here.
I have received this information directly from e.l.f. so it is 100% reliable:
For now, there will be no Studio or Mineral line products available at Target. BUT, there will be products from the Studio line available at Target stores in March 2010. As of the time this information was given to me, there are no plans to offer products from the Mineral line at Target stores.
The new "sleek black packaging" made for Target will also be offered on the e.l.f. website. None of the products will be exclusively sold at Target at this point. The packaging and combos (sets) were developed along with the new packaging and will be made available on the e.l.f. website.
So there you have it! I don't know about you, but I'm still very excited to see the new packaging and also to see what new combo sets they have to offer. It will be so nice to see a wide variety of e.l.f. products up close. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this latest piece of news.
Oh! I almost forget: Thanks to Halifax for informing me that Canadian lovelies will able to get their e.l.f. fix too, because as of Nov. 1st, e.l.f. products will be sold at Zellers in Canada. Yay!
Thanks so much for the info!
ReplyDeleteOh, well, I'm a bit happy and sad. I was really hoping that Target would carry the Mineral line but I'll look on the bright side. I have a Target near my home so I won't have to go too far to get my $1 e.l.f. fixes anymore. And in the coming year, no more having to pay shipping on Studio stuff. woohoo!
Thanks for the shout out, R. Looks like my readers love the Studio Line. If it's March for US, it's probably similar case for Canada. We also wonder whether the price would still comparable to US price, lol. All in all, we are excited :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Mimsy! You are so welcome! And I totally agree with you--we can now get our $1 elf fix whenever we want it, and minus the shipping costs! Yay! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Halifax! You're welcome! It looks like both my readers and your readers are loving the Studio line, so at least we'll get some products in March, and I bet you're right and you'll having them too. Yay! :) xo
Do you have any elf normal line favorites? (Went back and checked your other elf posts but didn't find much!) I would love to try some out again. Plus, do you know if brushes will be available? Mama loves her brushes XD
ReplyDeleteSo so excited!! I was thinking of placing an order but now all I have to do is wait :D
ReplyDeleteOhh. I can't wait till the Studio Line gets to Target (though the regular line being there is cool too - yay for no longer having to pay ELF's shipping!). I wish they would bring the mineral line though. I bet they would have really good business at Target since there isn't much in terms of mineral makeup there. Maybe if we bug them enough, they'll do it? =)
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa Kate! I'm not sure if the brushes will be available but I sure do hope so! I love love love their eyeshadow brush and use it every single day. As for other things that I like from their regular line, I like the Super Glossy Lip Shines, Hypershine glosses, All Over Cover Sticks and Brightening Eye Colors. I know that's not a lot, but those are the things I've tried that I really love. So like you, I cannot wait to try more (like the liquid eyshadows, Waterproof Eyeliner Pens, and Natural Radiance Blushers). :)
ReplyDeleteHey ndoodles! I am right there with you. We'll wait together. xo
Hey Jeweled Thumb! I agree--if they hear enough of us begging to have the Mineral line in stores, maybe they'll make it happen! :)
I can't wait! would be nice to see a proper display of e.l.f. i want brushes too! i have the saddest set of brushes, it's embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteside note: i tried e.l.f. dual mascara (one end has regular mascara and the other end is water proof). i thought wow, this is a great idea and what a deal!
BOTH ends did not keep my lashes curled. I couldn't even tell you if it was a lengthening formula since my lashes flattened out soon after the first swipe. i tried a couple of prep things:
- making sure my lashes weren't oily
- that i'd curled them for an extra long time before apply the mascaras
but like i said both formulas straightened my lashes. now i'm stuck with 2 tubes of this stuff (it came 2 / pack.)
Hi Anon! OMG, you definitely will be able to get all new brushes if elf sells these at Target (fingers crossed!). And it will only cost you like 5 or 10 bucks to get a ton of new ones! Yay!
ReplyDeletePS: I'm so sorry that the mascara didn't work for you. I know what you mean about curling--I have the worst time ever trying to find ANY mascara that will hold my curl. Have you found a good one yet?
I think the pricing is going to be more than $1 at Target. One of my daughter's friends works in the main office at the local Target and she said the early pricing info is $2.49/item. Even if it's not $1/item, the instant gratification will be worth it!
ReplyDeletere: mascara
ReplyDelete" Have you found a good one yet?"
i've been using maybelline's define-a-lash (waterproof). it's in a bright lime green tube w/ a blue tip on the cap. the mascara is OK i guess.
- it holds the curl of my lashes all day
- after the 3rd coat though it starts to get clumpy and it flakes by mid afternoon
-definitely is waterproof. sometimes when it's really hot and i just want to wash my face my mascara stays put.
the waterproof mascaras i've tried so far hold curl except the e.l.f. what i'm really looking for is a NON waterproof mascara that performs like a waterproof one. delusional i know. lol!

thanks for the heads up. that's sure is a price hike for regular e.l.f. =(
Anon #1: Thanks for the comment. If you take a look at my other posts about e.l.f., I mention that the pricing is going to $1, $2, $3, $5 and $10, depending on if you're buying singles or sets. The singles will still be $1 and the sets will be priced higher because you'll be getting 2, 3, 5 or 10 items per set. Hope that helps! :)
ReplyDeleteAnon #2: Thanks for the great info about your mascara. I have problems holding a curl with any mascara I use, but after reading your comment, maybe it's just that I don't use WP mascara! I never thought about that before! I always use non-waterproof because I really dislike using eye makeup remover on a daily basis. Plus, I've had some bad experiences with certain WP mascaras that just would not come off no matter what I used (makeup remover, vaseline, baby oil, olive oil, nothing!). So it's back to non-waterproof for me. I guess I'm willing to give up curl for the sake of easy removal. lol. :)
Thanks! I was holding out for the Mineral line as my sister wants the eyeshadows for the holidays. I guess I'll just go ahead and order them instead. It's too bad, I love their mineral line and studio makeup
