Spotted at Ross: Kat Von D Glam Rock Set for $9.99 (Retail: $59)
I've posted about a lot of Kat Von D sightings at Ross, Marshalls, TJMaxx, etc. over the past few years, but this one certainly ranks up there as one of the best! If you love KVD products, you'll want to get over to your local Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx (or all of the above) and look for this one ASAP.
Many thanks to reader @dianadoig on Instagram for sharing the following pics of the Kat Von D Glam Rock Set she found at her local Ross this week:

New Beauty Sightings at Nordstrom Rack and Ross
The beauty sightings at the discount stores have been crazy lately, right? I've been hearing from several of you that you're finding more and more products by BH Cosmetics and Coastal Scents at your local Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx/Burlington Coat Factory locations right now (this is in addition to the sightings I posted HERE), and today I have some other new sightings for you, thanks to some lovely readers. First up:

Many thanks to reader @steph_mkobeauty on Instagram for sharing the pic above, of the Kat Von D Brush Set she found at Ross this week. This is no longer available at Sephora, but I did some digging and found that the retail price when available was $48. So yeah, this is a fantastic deal!

Ross Sightings
So I was at a local Ross last week and WOW, I hit the jackpot. I'm so excited to share what I found with you, because I've heard that some of you have also found these things in your area recently, which means there's an even better chance that YOU may them (fingers crossed). So let's get right into it!
NOTE: As always, you may also find these items at Marshalls, TJMaxx, or Burlington Coat Factory, so don't limit your search to Ross. All four retailers tend to carry similar inventory from time to time, so if you strike out at one, try another.

I found this five-pack of NYX Black Label Lipsticks for $7.99. What? I know! The Black Label Lipsticks are amazing and I really wish NYX hadn't discontinued them. For some reason I had it in my head that the retail price of these lipsticks was $5.99 each, but a quick Google search landed me on Phyrra's blog, where she confirmed that they were $7.25 a piece when still available. So yeah, you're basically getting five for the price of one if you find this set. (By the way, these sets are in a sealed bag--there's a lock on the zipper--so no tampering. Yay!)
Keep reading for the shades in this set, plus more Ross sightings...

Again, these were ALL $2.99 each. What?? Yeah. Mind: blown.

First up, reader @clau777 on Instagram kindly shared the pic above of the two Coastal Scents palettes she spotted at her Ross this week.

So I Took a Chance on an Inexpensive Perfume from the Discount Store...
I'm a fragrance addict, and I do not discriminate. I love everything from drugstore body mists to boutique fragrances and I honestly only have one thing on my mind when I sniff a fragrance: does it appeal to me? If the answer is "Yes!" then I don't care about the brand.
That said, you know I'm always looking for a good deal. I often find popular, expensive fragrances at discount retailers like TJMaxx, Ross, Marshalls and Burlington Coat Factory (those places are a goldmine for fragrance junkies since things are often more than 50% off retail). When I was at Burlington Coat Factory a few weeks ago, this fragrance caught my eye and I decided to take a chance on it....

Precision Beauty: Eco-Friendly Makeup Brush Line by Swissco
Did you know that Swissco (makers of the Beauty Blender dupe that you can get at Ross, Marshalls, etc. and many other products) has an eco-friendly makeup brush line? I posted about this earlier today on my Instagram and several of you said that you've been spotting these brushes at TJMaxx for about $6 each for the larger face brushes. So far the feedback from you has been quite good--some of you have mentioned that the bristles are very soft and that you're enjoying what you've purchased.
If you haven't seen this collection in person yet, here's a look (these definitely remind me of EcoTools brushes, but I'm loving the pink ferrules):

When patience is rewarded (AKA: My Ross haul)
There's a lot to be said for seeing something you want and buying it on the spot. It's fun to be spontaneous and sometimes you just deserve to treat yourself with a bit of instant gratification.
But sometimes, you can be greatly rewarded for having a bit of patience. Any bargain shopper will tell you that the key to the best deals is waiting. Waiting for a sale, waiting for a coupon, waiting for a clearance or, in this case, waiting for the things you want to end up at Ross.

Here are a few things I purchased at Ross over the weekend and I have patience to thank for these deals:
Elizabeth Arden Pretty Hot eau de parfum

Weekend Manicure: Essie Wild Thing
After all the reports from so many of you about Essie 3-packs being spotted at Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshalls lately, I finally found some at a local Ross and I of course had to pick one up (as most of you know, Essie polishes retail for $8 each at most drugstores, so three for $8.99 is a steal!).
Essie Nail Polish 3-Pack in Wild Thing, Antique Rose and Silken Cord
(retail: $8.99 at Ross, 3 x 0.46 oz)

Review & swatches: Cosmetic Arts Professional Nail Lacquers from Ross
Cosmetic Arts Professional Nail Lacquers, made by Forsythe Cosmetic Group (makers of Color Club) are pretty much sold exclusively at Ross. I've heard they've also been spotted at a few regional drugstore chains, but for the most part you'll need to go to your local Ross to find them.
The price at Ross for these polishes is $1.99 each. The formulas are Big Three Free and these polishes are made in the USA. I've been seeing more and more Cosmetic Arts polishes at my local Ross stores lately, with large displays that can be found either in the beauty aisle, or sometimes at the checkout counter.
The thing that kind of bothers me about these polishes is that they do not have their shade names printed on the bottles. I know that, for a while, you could find the corresponding shade names on the Cosmetic Group website, but I don't think they're available there anymore (I tried to find them the other day but couldn't--if you have a magic link to these polish names, please share in the comments!).
So, as many other bloggers have done in their own blog posts, I'm going to make up names for these polishes, just for fun:
NOTE: these are made-up names and NOT official shade names
Blue shimmer: She Wore Blue Velvet
Glitter: Smoggy City Lights
Coral: We Can't-A-Lope

Spotted at Ross and TJ Maxx
Over the past week or so, readers have been leaving comments on the You Tell Me page sharing some fantastic sightings. So I thought I'd take a minute to share that info here, in case you missed their original comments:
Reader Krystal writes:
I live in NC and I've seen the Sally Hansen Nail Prism polishes popping up at Ross in 4 packs mixed in with other colors for $5.99
Wow! If you were looking for the SH Nail Prisms and couldn't find them when they were popping up at Dollar Trees a while back, you've got a second chance at Ross!
Reader M writes:
San Diego ladies: at the TJ Maxx in Point Loma today I spotted Andalou Naturals body butters, lotions, and shower gels. They were by the register, not the regular beauty department. Just sharing since they seem to get pretty good reviews!
Since I'm in SD too, I'm obviously excited about this one, but hopefully these products aren't just limited to the San Diego area. If you missed my Andalou Naturals reviews, you can see them here. I LOVE their products and can't wait to try more.
Thanks so much, Krystal and M for the great scoop!
Have you spotted either of these brands in your area lately? Or any other great deals we should know about at Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx? Please leave a comment and let us know!

Ross sightings
It's been a long time since I've done a Ross, Marshalls or T.J. Maxx sighting, but when I was at a local Ross recently I spotted some goodies that I wanted to pass along. I realize that not all locations carry the exact same beauty products at the exact same time, but at least I can give you an idea of what to look out for, and HOPEFULLY you'll spot at least a few of these in your town (fingers crossed).
I spotted one of the Wet n Wild LE holiday kits for $4.99.

A huge thanks to reader Krissy for this one! Krissy spotted some Essie nail colors at her local Ross for just $3.49 each and was kind enough to share:

I don't know what's more incredible about the above picture: Krissy's purple duochome mani or the price of that Essie polish!

VERY EXCITING drugstore sightings!
I am so excited to share these drugstore (and Ross) sightings with you that I can barely type right now! So let's not waste any time:
Back in October when I first saw The Varnish Clique's post about the new Essie shade Shine Of The Times (the Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure dupe!), I started counting the days until the Luxeffects collection was spotted in drugstores. Well, that time has come because the lovely Joyce just tweeted me a pic of Essie Luxeffects which she spotted at her local Walgreens!

Heads up: five-packs of limited edition Maybelline nail colors at Ross!
One of my very favorite limited edition collections from 2010 was the Maybelline Sweet Thing collection. I just loved all the candy-colored pastels in this collection and I especially loved the nail colors (I still wear colors from this collection at least twice a month).
Right before my birthday, I went to Ross looking for some new bed sheets (a birthday treat for myself--hey, I'm frugal even when it comes to housewares, what can I say?). Didn't find any cute sheets, but that's totally OK because I did find these, and I flipped my lid when I spotted them:
Five-packs of limited edition colors from both the Sweet Thing and Salsa Sun collections! And you literally get five for the price of ONE, since I know for a fact that these polishes retailed for $4.99 when they came out. Click here to see my swatches of Pie in the Sky, Goody Plum Drop, Sweetie Pie and Minty.
I had to laugh because the Ross "Compare at" price is seriously underestimated! It really should say "Compare at $25.00"!
If you missed out on these colors when they released earlier this year, or if you fell in love with any of them and would like back-ups, I say brave the after-Christmas crowds and head out to Ross as soon as you can. The day after I spotted these, my lovely reader Shelly left a comment on this post letting us know she spotted them at Ross too, so I have a feeling they're making the rounds. Run, don't walk, if you want some of these. I think they're one of the best, and most unexpected, bargains of the year when it comes to nail polish!
Have you spotted these five-packs at your local Ross stores? If so, did you buy any? I'd love to hear from you!
