I just received this set from IT Cosmetics and I wanted to get some pics up for you as quickly as possible since it's Today's Special Value on QVC. Today only (11/12), this set is being offered at a special reduced price and on Easy Pay, so let's jump right in!
Today only (11/12) you can purchase the IT Cosmetics Top 5 Superstars & More Set here for $59.95 + $3 shipping and 5 Easy Pays of $11.99 (five shade choices for the foundation). After today, it will revert back to its regular price of $72.50. If purchased separately, the items in this set add up to $189, so this is quite the value if you're interested in trying these products (or if you know you already like some of these products). There are six full-size items in this set, so that breaks down to about $10 per item.
Here's a closer look:
The box itself is super cute, with IT Cosmetics' signature holographic design touches. I think this would make for a lovely presentation if given as a gift.
Contents:
- Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Medium (full-size)
- Celebration Foundation Illumination Full Coverage Anti-Aging Foundation; there are five shade choices available and I received Light (full-size)
- Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil (full-size)
- Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara (full-size)
- Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment (full-size)
- Heavenly Skin Full Coverage Foundation Brush (full-size)
This set also comes with two sample packets:
- Confidence in a Cream Moisturizing Super Cream
- CC+ Cream with SPF 50
I haven't had a chance to try the mascara, powder foundation or brush yet, so I cannot comment on the performance of those products. I have, however, used the brow pencil, lip color, and concealer in the past, so I can tell you a bit about those products!
Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil
This is one of my favorite brow pencils of all time and I have purchased and repurchased it many times (I also jump at the chance whenever I can get a deluxe freebie). It's easy to use, it stays put even on my oily skin, and I love that it really is universal depending on how much pressure you apply. I have had several different hair colors over the years ranging from cool, dark blonde to warm medium auburn, and this pencil has always worked for me, because it's truly neutral (not too warm and not too cool). If you apply with a light touch, it will give you a softer look. Use a little more pressure and the color becomes more intense. I also love that it comes with a spoolie on the other end (which also has a cap), making it great for travel.
Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
Chances are, you have already tried this hero product from IT. But if you haven't, it's fantastic, especially if you have mature skin and are looking for something that's hydrating and won't settle into fine lines. This concealer has great coverage for me, but I find that I only need the TINIEST bit for application. When I first tried it several years ago, it felt like a thick, crease-y mess because I used waaaaay too much. For me, this concealer works best if you just dispense the tiniest amount from the tube and apply with your fingertips in a tapping motion. After I set it with a light dusting of powder, it stays put on my undereye area and I find that this formula really helps to give the appearance of plumper skin by minimizing the look of my fine lines.
Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment
This lip balm goes on clear and then adjusts to give your lips a very natural-looking pink flush. On my lips, it's very subtle, which is perfect for me when it comes to low or no makeup days. It doesn't give me that neon pink look that I sometimes get from other color-changing lip balms. There is no fragrance or flavor to this lip balm, which is nice if you're sensitive to those things. I find this lip balm to be hydrating, but not super hydrating. Similar to other color-changing lip balms in that respect.
And now for the real star of the show (in my opinion, at least)! I had a serious "Ooooh!" moment when I opened the box and saw this brush. It's gorgeous, isn't it?
The Heavenly Skin Foundation Brush is designed to optically blur away the look of imperfections and give you flawless full coverage.
I haven't tried this style of brush before, but I find it so intriguing. I can tell you that as I was writing this blog post, I swept it across my bare skin and the bristles are incredibly soft and silky-feeling (no surprise there, since IT is known for its super soft brushes). I also tried this brush using a stippling motion, and then a swirling motion, just to see what it would feel like given its unique head. I can tell you from my (very) limited experience that I found that the center of the brush felt like it was reaching into the crevices of my face (the sides of my nose) in a way that felt different than regular brushes. Since the bristles are more raised in the center, I feel like this could help to apply foundation more evenly on the sides of the nose and harder-to-reach areas. I can't wait to give this baby a real testing.
I hope this post helps give you a little bit better of an idea of what you can expect if you order this set. And remember. the special price of $59.95 goes away after today (11/12) and then it revert to its regular price of $72.50 (which I still think is a great value considering that these are all full-size products with a combined value of $189 if purchased separately). But if you can get it today, that breaks down to about $10 per item, which I think is a fantastic value if you're drawn to the items in this set.

I love my Celebration Foundation and separate container of Illumination powder.I also have a really nice brush from It Cosmetics.I would buy this kit but I already have what I like from their line.I can say the foundation and CC creams are great! The brushes are really soft.
ReplyDeleteI was not going to but this, but you totally reeled me in. I am excited to try the celebration foundation and that gorgeous brush! Also I don't have a single product from It cosmetics. I think it's time and I couldn't pass up this deal. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteI love these sets! I had email from IT Cosmetics last night on this and pretty much immediately ordered. My only hesitation was I already have the powder foundation, concealer, eyebrow pencil and lip treatment. They're all great (tho now I understand I'm using too much of the concealer, thank you!!!)...just wasn't sure I needed more, since I am not wearing makeup much due to working from home. But I wanted to try the mascara, and when I saw the brush I was like ah heck it's too good to pass up! I have tons of IT Cosmetics products and brushes from these sets, I am obsessed :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard the celebration illumination runs a tad darker than the regular celebration powder foundation. Just as an FYI tip for anyone
ReplyDeleteI think Chanel is going to have a brush very similar to the it cosmetic one but smaller

I am waiting for the brush to be available on its own!
ReplyDeleteI used the FIVE4U coupon for $5 off any order, new QVC customers only. Since I was charged tax, my total was going to be $67.95. Brought it down to $62.95, with 5 payments of $12.59! 😍 I wasn't going to buy this but your post totally convinced me! And that brush looks lovely..!! 😍😍😍 Thank you G!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything it cosmetics so far..I have to check the stash to see if I have the powder foundation (makeup junkie props!!) That brush looks amazing! it'd be a shame for it to not be sold individually!
ReplyDeleteI wish I didn't already own four of the six products in this set because I would love to buy it, what a good deal! There would just be no rationalization I could use, ;/. I really want that brush so hopefully it will be released with a product or two on QVC in the coming months.
