Exciting news for my fellow ChapStick fans today! I received some fun press info that I can't wait to share with you. Check this out:
ChapStick® just launched their newest flavor – Mint Chocolate Chip – to sweeten lips with every swipe. This limited-edition product combines the chocolatey and minty tastes all while keeping lips smooth and moisturized.
ChapStick® Mint Chocolate Chip is available now exclusively at the ChapStick® online store, while supplies last, for $2.49.
Excitingly, the new Mint Chocolate Chip flavor marks the first of a series of new ChapStick® flavors launching exclusively on ShopChapStick.com. Every six months, be on the lookout for news of the newest exclusive ChapStick® flavor available on the online store while supplies last.
I had to go back to your previous post and go into the chap stick post there. It says the page doesn't exist. Thought you would want to know ASAP.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for everything you do for all of us G!
Hi Nina! I'm not sure what you mean? All of the links here are working on my end. Are you saying THIS blog post isn't loading for you? I'm so confused! Thank you. :)
DeleteThanks for the information, love their lip balms.
ReplyDeletehm... on my page it shows the price is 2.49 ?
Oh good catch! That must have been a typo. Will fix now! :)
DeleteSo the new flavors won't be in stores?
ReplyDeleteNope. According to the press info I received (in my post above) they'll be exclusive to the ChapStick online store.
DeleteI am in love with this new chapstick
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you like it! :)
DeleteGroovy post as always G. As soon as I got the alert for this I remembered I picked up the cake batter flavored Chapstick from Walmart a few weeks ago and I have NO IDEA where it is. Darn it!!!!
ReplyDeleteWalgreens had cake batter, and a couple others I forget now, last time I was there. This is one of my favs!
DeleteHaha I hate it when I buy new lip balms and then forget where I put them. It happens! ;)
DeleteI LOVE Cake Batter, Steffy. It's one of my faves too. I reviewed it back in 2013 when it was a limited edition holiday flavor. So glad they made it permanent. :)
Love to try these and give to kids in my family for Christmas as a side goody. I'm trying to find though the big old Bonnie Bell sticks.
ReplyDeleteI saw the jumbo Lip Smackers at Target in a 3-pack just the other day! Try there! :)
DeleteThanks for info G., but I think it's unfair of Chapstick to make them online only.
ReplyDeleteWhy? This way, everyone who wants one can get it. I can't tell you how many hours I have spent going from store to store, tracking down a LE item, and coming home empty handed. This way you know exactly where to find it if you want it.
DeleteI agree. I just can't bring myself to buy an inexpensive DS item like that online and have to pay shipping. I don't need $15 worth of Chapstick to get their free shipping. Hmpf!
DeleteI can see both sides of this. But for me personally, it's like every other beauty brand that has web-exclusives. I don't think it's an issue of being "fair" or "unfair". Lots of beauty brands and even retailers like Ulta have "online only" products, and this is the same thing. They're a business, and they want to drive customers to their store. I get that, and I don't get upset by it, since I take advantage of plenty of "online only" deals from other retailers who don't offer free shipping at $15+.
DeleteBut I also understand that some customers just want to go to their local drugstore to buy lip balms, and my only want one item. So I do see both sides, and I don't think anyone is right or wrong here. :)
I like the online stores. Because I don't have running vehicle at this time. Long story. But even if I did I'm also in a town that is smaller and u don't always get the options as u do in a city. Just a cpl points to add to the benefits of online shopping.
DeleteWalmart recently put out Sugar Cookie chapstick. I picked up a few.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've seen a few other people mention that lately--gotta get over there and check it out! How do you like it so far? :)
DeleteI thought that one was new too when I spotted it. It's fabulous just like all the other Chapstick flavors. They do the best IMO. Shame the new ones will be online only.. I agree with others lip balm isn't something I order online unless it's tacked onto a larger order. Hopefully they will reconsider or the flavors will find their way to stores after the online release.
DeleteG, how many lip balms do you own and what is your most favorite one?
ReplyDeleteToo many to count! Seriously, I refuse to count because the answer will disgust me. LOL! I have a serious addiction, I tell you.
DeleteAnd you cannot ask me to name a favorite! That's like asking to pick a favorite child! ;) But I will tell you that the ChapStick Grape Slurpee that I reviewed in the summer sits at my desk and I use it daily. I am on a seeerious grape kick at the moment and I can't seem to get enough.
I want to add my teenage son has trouble with chapped lips in the Winter and he likes the cake batter. As well as I do. I saved a sealed Pumpkin Pie Chapstick from last Yr. I actually went thru a whole one last yr. I picked them up on ur Great article on the Battle of the Pumpkin Pies. I fell in LOVE with it. I haven't opened it up yet! But between my son and I plan on getting some of these FUN new flavors. Sugar Cookie will be next on my list of pick up. And patiently waiting for the new online. I hope they put a cpl new ines together so I can make one order for at least a cpl of them at a time. Hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for all u do on here. When I see u have posted I go immediately to see what's new and what's happening in the World of Beauty. U do an amazing job of keeping everyone up on sales and new releases. Thanks a BUNCH.
