Parts of this post are long overdue, but no time like the present to get caught up on recent Revlon happenings, right? So let's dig in!

Coming Soon: NEW Revlon Kiss Balms SPF 20
(retail: $5 each)

Thanks so much to reader Sephiria Lee, who spotted the above article in the October 2016 issue of Seventeen Magazine and kindly shared this pic! The new Revlon Kiss Balms are coming (the article says they'll be at Walmart but I'm guessing they'll be everywhere else, too) and they will retail for $5 each. These new twist-up lip balms contain SPF 20 and come in the following flavors:
  • Plum
  • Strawberry
  • Apple
  • Pomegranate
  • Cherry
  • Peach

It's been a while since Revlon released something that gave me that little "Oooh, I NEED!" feeling in my belly, but I MUST have these. As Sephiria Lee pointed out, these are reminiscent of the Maybelline Asia-Exclusive Baby Lips Candy Wow Pencils that came out back in the Summer of 2015. And I don't know if it's because this photo has a "vintage" feel to it, or if I'm just trying to wish this into existence, but I'm also getting a slight Maybelline Kissing Koolers vibe from these. Don't get me started on how much I wish Maybelline would bring back Kissing Koolers, but yeah, if these are even half as yummy, I'll be thrilled and will hoard them ASAP.

Also, I'm guessing that, unlike the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains which have nice color payoff, these are probably lighter on color but big on flavor.

Revlon Fall 2016 Collection at Rite Aid

Next up! If you haven't seen this Fall 2016 display at your local drugstores yet, Revlon has some new shades they're releasing in existing product lines. Thanks so much to reader G. of Visage Maquillage Blog for kindly sharing these pics of the display that she spotted at Rite Aid recently.

NEW SHADES: Revlon Photoready Eye Art
Midnight Glitz and Steel Spark

I reviewed one of these Eye Art duos back when they first came out in 2014, and I didn't love it. Have any of you had luck with these?

NEW SHADES: Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lip Colors
Ingenue and Influencer

I reviewed several of the Ultimate Suedes when they first came out back in 2012, and I did not care for them. But hopefully, if you do like them, you're happy about these new shades!

NEW SHADES: Revlon Colorstay Eye Liners
Black Violet and Teal

I love Colorstay liners and I'm super excited to try Black Violet. It looks beautiful.

Next up, in case you haven't seen this one yet, I want to thank reader @Sistahgirl on Instagram for the tip that Revlon Love Is On Super Lustrous Lipstick (special packaging) is now up on the Revlon website. You can purchase this at Ulta HERE ($7.99). @Sistahgirl also mentioned that she spotted it at Walgreens, so I'm guessing that it's probably at all drugstores by now.

PLEASE NOTE: thanks to @Sistahgirl for confirming that the number on the tube is 745 which, as she kindly pointed out, is the same shade number for the existing Revlon Super Lustrous shade Raspberry Bite. So this is probably the exact same shade. But if you want the fancy packaging, there you go!

New Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Shades

Now this one is loooong overdue since this display started popping up in drugstores back in June. But if you haven't seen these in your area yet, Revlon released new shades in their Ultra HD Matte Lip Color line. Thanks so much to reader Yamilet for kindly sharing these pics with us (she actually shared them with me back in June; it's absolutely my fault for getting them on the blog so late!).

  1. Any idea if the SPF is broad spectrum on the balm? That would be awesome!

  3. I bought the Love Is On lipstick at Ulta few weeks ago and it is one of my top favourites. Very creamy and not glossy and the colour is amazing!

  4. I want all the Revlon Kiss Balms now. That is all.

  5. Almost picked up Magnetic yesterday, really pretty in person. And why oh why does EVERY red shade have to be cherry scented &/or flavored? Its my most disliked scent, reminds me of awful cherry flavor cough medicine as a kid *shudder*

  6. I'm so excited about those Kiss Balms! Ditto to what you said -- it's been awhile for me since *any* drugstore brand has released an item/collection that I *had* to have (normally I love hunting down Wet-n-Wild collections but not for the past couple of seasons). These look fantastic and right up my alley -- I love bold colors but with training wheels and these seem to fit the bill! Thanks for the update, G.!

  8. Thanks for mentioning me, Gianna! Love is On has been my new go-to red. My shade is Caramel in Colorstay and NC-45 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid and this color is beautiful!

  10. Omgoodness WOW you took me back with the Maybelline Kissing Koolers. I didn't remember the name but as soon as I clicked the link and saw them my heart melted. Lol good memories. TFS

  11. I picked up one of those Revlon Kiss Balms at Walmart last weekend in Peach. They are actually really pigmented but smell absolutely delicious!

  12. I hope they never discontinue the balm stains. Those have the perfect texture and color for me. I notice they have been phasing out the lacquer balms. I will probably buy the Kiss Balm in Plum and Cherry.

  13. I thought the exact same thing about the kissing balms being reminiscent of Maybelline kissing koolers! Man I LOVED those. Excited to try the new Revlon balm

  14. I was in Rite Aid and saw a display with Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in a sheer formula, but what caught my eye were the names of the shades, like Peach Parfait. Maybe they're bringing back the shades of the Colorburst Lip Butters in new formula and packaging?

  15. I just found these at Rite Aid on a separate display than the Revlon wall. I bought 2 colors, plum and apple. They are super smooth and feel very moisturizing on the lips, the tint in VERY subtle, the scent and flavor is yummy and not cloying, and the SPF 20 is a broad spectrum. Instead of the pomegranate, there was a coconut flavor in this display. I could see making this my regular day lip balm because of the added SPF, and I plan on going back and grabbing a couple more. Oh, and the best part is the Rite Aid has a 40% off Revlon sale this week!

  16. I found the kiss balm display tonight at Target. It only had 2 coconut balms left, so I wondered if I was late to the party. Grabbed one and I look forward to trying it out. So glad that it has good spf! Now I'm going to spend the rest of the year tracking down the rest of the flavors. haha I took a pic of the display but it turned out blurry, grrr. The flavors look to be cherry, coconut, apple, mixed berry (blackberry and blueberry), strawberry, and something else -- maybe peach. (So no plum or pomegranate.)
