The Lipstick League Question of the Week
Name a beauty-related skill you hope to improve in the new year (for example: winged liner, contouring, etc.).
G's answer: I suck at contouring, but I'm actually OK with that and not really looking to improve my skills too much since I'm more of a "blush and highlighter" kind of gal anyway. But what I would really like to improve this year, above all else, are my false eyelash application skills. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm at negative 10. In other words, I can't do it. I've been trying for decades and maybe THIS year will finally be the year that I can become semi-competent! Fingers crossed.

EauMG is Currently Craving: Lately, I’ve been so into ultra-glam late 1970’s era fashion. I’ve been into fierce Grace Jones-ish warm, jewel tone eyeshadows like the shades in Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette paired with glossy red lips like Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lip Gloss in Icon.
I would like to perfect my liquid eyeliner application with brush applicator. And water marbling my nails.
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeless with the liquid liner. The best I can do is gel. I'm so bad at the winged eye that I've ordered a stencil. Now that's pitiful ;-) I practiced water marbling on my keys Robin. I've got the prettiest keys of my friends LOL I'm not even going to try my nails again as I just started piano lessons and was already told to file them down.
ReplyDeleteFalse eyelashes and liquid eyeliner
ReplyDeleteIt took me about a month to get down falsies and now I wear them everyday. One eye is always perfect, the other not so much because the lashes curl up and I need to hold them down with one hand while trying to apply the lashes with the other. I found amazing lashes on ebay. The seller is shopmissA, lashes are Kara and they are exactly like red cherry. I get 6 pairs for 8.00. The WSP lashes are great to start with.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm all about the nails, I'd like to improve my stamping skills this year. I bought a squishy stamper and stamping mat from UberChic, so hopefully things will get better :)
ReplyDeleteG, you are my spirit animal. I suck at contouring and I'm OK with that. I'm currently on a "throw some highlighter over my blush" kick. I don't need to perfect a winged liner, but I'd like to be able to at least put liquid eyeliner on straight! I've also got some false lashes I've been staring at since Christmas. I've never tried them before and I'd like to give it a go.
