L'Oreal Holiday 2015 Makeup Sets at CVS
I'm officially declaring Holiday 2015 The Season of Drugstore Makeup Holiday Sets. Weird and too long of a title? Yes. But accurate? Also yes!
So far, we've seen that Revlon is releasing these holiday sets and these holiday sets, and the Maybelline holidays sets just landed. And of course there are the Wet n Wild/Fergie holiday sets, and I'm gearing up to share with you some of the Hard Candy, Profusion, L.A. Colors, etc. holiday sets that are also popping up in stores right now (post coming very soon). Oh! And there are also NYX holiday sets at Ulta and CVS, and Ulta just released a ton of very cute Ulta Beauty holidays sets too.
And today, reader Samantha Ann (Samantha Ann on YouTube) spotted these L'Oreal holiday makeup sets at her local Harmon and kindly shared some pics. Here's a closer look:

I don't believe there's anything new in these sets--just fancy holiday packaging. The top set above contains a full-size Colour Riche polish and Colour Riche lipstick for $7.99. I believe the palettes below those sets are just the La Palette Nude 1 and La Palette Nude 2, in fancy packaging.

The top sets above contain a full-size Voluminous Mascara (original formula) and Pencil Perfect Self-Advancing Eyeliner for $11.99. The bottom sets contain a full-size Voluminous Butterfly Mascara and Infallible Precision Liner for $11.99.
To me, the cost-savings with these sets doesn't seem THAT great. However, you will have lots of ways to bring the cost down on these throughout the holiday season (sales, store rewards, coupons). And there will probably be some Black Friday deals involving gift sets as well.
Thanks so much, Samantha Ann, for the great sighting and pics!
The Ulta website has the maybelline holiday sets listed. :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh thank you! Last time I checked they only had the Lipgloss Palette. Off to check them out! :)
DeleteYou're welcome... :-)
DeleteSo the one in the close up pic that says Nude Intense is just the second palette then, in new packaging? Since I don't have either of these yet I may grab them if I see a sale or have a coupon, I like the shiny:)
ReplyDeleteYep, I had a few readers confirm that it's identical to La Palette Nude 2. I have no idea why they're calling it Nude Intense here (other than to confuse us!).
DeleteIs that not also a lipstick in the "Icon" Kit?
