A month or two ago, several of you shared with me sightings of the Milani Color Statement nail polishes at Walmart, with RED $0.97 price tags (where the yellow ones are above) next to all of the polishes in the display. I figured at that time that certain stores were clearancing out these polishes, because that's what generally happens when you see red price tags at Walmart. HOWEVER, just a week ago, I was in a local Walmart here in San Diego and noticed that the price tags are now yellow, and the price is $0.97. Therefore, this appears to be a PERMANENT price reduction. I just wanted to be sure you knew about this, since these polishes are $3.99 on the Milani site and at CVS and Walgreens.
Keep reading for more Walmart beauty updates...
Wet n Wild has not been sold at Walmart stores here in San Diego for quite some time (at least at the stores I've visited). But that has changed recently (this photo was taken at a Walmart in San Diego last week). HOPEFULLY this means that if your Walmart stores do not carry Wet n Wild, you'll be getting this display soon as well. And notice that Brulee (eyeshadow single) is in this new display. You wouldn't believe how many emails I get asking if Brulee is being discontinued (I know it might seem that way since it has been popping up at Dollar Tree as of late), so hopefully this puts your mind at ease a bit.
I know that lots of Walmarts are undergoing major revamps in the beauty department right now, so keep your eyes peeled for this new WnW wall display because...
Walmart is the only retailer that carries the WnW Coloricon Contouring Palettes that first came out back in February. So if you're like me and never thought you'd see these in person, your luck may be changing soon.
e.l.f. update: I'm guessing that most of us who have e.l.f. at our Walmart stores have those free-standing carousel displays. However, reader @makeupismyjam on Instagram recently confirmed that her Walmart now has a full wall display for e.l.f. in addition to the carousel display and she even spotted the new-ish e.l.f. Essential Fan Brush (which isn't yet at Target, as far as I know) at her Walmart recently. So again, keep your eyes peeled for a bigger and better e.l.f. display at your Walmart (I have no way of knowing if all stores are shifting to a wall display, but hopefully that's the case!).
And last but not least, something that should apply to ALL Walmart stores:

NEW Sinful Colors SinfulShine Color with Gel Tech collection
If you caught my last Sinful Colors update, then you know that Sinful Colors confirmed to me that the newly reformulated SinfulShines (which are now a two-step system vs. the previous one-step SinfulShines), would be launching at Walmart FIRST (with other retailers to follow).
Well they have officially landed, and I want to thank longtime reader @prettytoyaworld on Instagram for sharing these pics of the display she spotted at her local Walmart a little while ago.

Sinful Colors also confirmed to me that the shades in this initial display are the same as the original SinfulShine shades (but with a new formula). They also said that they would be launching NEW shades eventually. The top coat and nail colors retail for $2.98 individually, while the two-bottle sets retail for $4.98 (thanks to reader Lisa for confirming in the comments below!).
But the BEST NEWS EVER is that Sinful Colors brought back the previously-limited-edition shade Prosecco. You can see it in the display above! So everyone who missed out on that can get it now. Awesome, right?? If you want to see the gorgeousness that is Prosecco, check out my pal Kellie Gonzo's swatches HERE.

Oh, and one more thing! Be sure to check the end-caps in your Walmart's beauty department and also the clearance sections right now. I'm getting lots of reports of major beauty clearance sightings with things reduced as low as $1. I'm guessing this has to do with the current revamping of the beauty departments, which makes sense. Out with old, in with the new!
Whew. I think that about covers it..for now! Any questions about anything featured above, just let me know.
Thanks again, @prettytoyaworld and @makeupismyjam, for the great tips and pics!

G, are you sure about the prices on those new Sinful two-step polishes? Why would anyone pay $4.98 for two bottles when individually they are $1.99?
ReplyDeleteThe SinfulShine polishes are 2.99
DeleteSo, if you buy the set you pay $1 more than if you buy the polishes individually? Shenanigans.
ReplyDeleteHey ladies--I'm guessing that was a typo. I changed it to $3.98 and will update again if I get confirmation that it is indeed $4.98. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI wish my walmart carried Milani & Elf! :(
ReplyDeleteThe milani polish is a rollback price - rollbacks usually last 90 days. The fall set is done and a lot of polish colors were removed as they added a whole new tray of matte lipsticks. So depending on when the price was changed there is no way to tell if they will stay on sale or go back to normal pricing of 2.97. Sinful shine seems to be a permanent display as the colors seem to be restocked fairly quickly. Walmart is funny with what store carries what brands however, I can tell you that if you see any brand other than hard candy on clearance (red label with was and now prices) it's because the items were marked down specifically for that store - example maybelline, loreal etc. when those brands set to the new seasons they issue recalls for the product being removed and that's when they start popping up in dollar stores & big lots. Also keep an eye out for the 25% price reduction stickers as Walmart is able to reduce prices on seasonal & special buy products! Hope this helped - I found 25% off on physicians formula a few weeks ago and snagged 25% off some of the milani polish for .73!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the info! I'm confused though, because I just checked and the some of the tips I received about the Milani polishes being $0.97 were submitted more than 90 days ago. Also, please correct me if I'm wrong here (I don't shop at Walmart often) but aren't products that are on rollback usually tagged as such? With a sale sign that says "Rollback"? The displays in my are only have the permanent price tags...nothing else. Thanks!!
DeleteG the price in the individual bottles is 2.98 and the sets are 4.98. I bought a bunch at Walmart a fees days ago. I noticed no difference in the formula in applying them. And was so disappointed when my nails werw all chipped within just 2 days!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for confirming that, Lisa! Just updated my post! xoxo
DeleteOh but I saw today in walmart the set was 5.98 and individual polishes were 2.98
DeleteYes she is correct I just checked my receipt again and it was definitely 2.98 and 5.98. Not even a savings really to buy two. And they chipped and were peeling off in two days And I was on vacation with minimal stress on them.
ReplyDeleteMy Walmart has had a full elf wall for a couple of years now. Half the aisle is elf, the other half is Flower. I'll have to get a photo next time I am there. It's a huge display.
ReplyDeleteYes usually they will have a rollback sign and like I said Walmart can extend or shorten the sale price too! And hopefully they stay that price! Easiest way to tell if something is on sale but not flagged is to look for the code on the yellow label - bottom right corner will have the letter R for rollback or N for new etc =]
ReplyDeleteAt $0.97 I would definitely collect all the Milani Color Statement polishes! I have avoided them because they are too similar to what I already own (Milani Blue Print and Essie Butler Please, for example), but at less than a buck they are worth collecting just to swatch for a dupe test!
ReplyDeleteThe Walmart off of Clairemont Mesa Blvd. has carried Wet n Wild for a few months at least. I found the contouring palette there while back. Also, the store in Grossmont Center carries it and has for a few months.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shout out G!! <3
ReplyDeleteMy Walmart in NJ has a full e.l.f. wall display and the Milani polishes have been 97 cents (yellow tag) for awhile now (they also sell wet n wild and hard candy, lucky gal I am!) I actually thought that was their normal price until I went to another drugstore and saw the same polishes for more. Such a great deal!
ReplyDeleteI've been curious about WnW at Walmart. One of my local Walmarts had everything on clearance and didn't have a display at all. Haven't been back since I saw that a couple weeks ago.
