Spotted: NEW Wet n Wild Coloricon Contouring Palettes in Dulce De Leche and Caramel Toffee

Updated 2/5/15 with additional information and photos.

I received some additional information and images after I originally published this post yesterday, and I want to make sure you know that there are TWO new Wet n Wild Coloricon Contouring Palettes now popping up at Walmart. These appear to be Walmart-exclusives (as you're about to see, this is printed on the display itself).

Longtime reader Maria (@mariafleita on Instagram) kindly shared this pic of the display and you can see that there is one warmer (yellow-toned) palette and one cooler (pink-toned) palette in this range:

Dulce De Leche and Caramel Toffee
(retail: $3.93 each, 0.46 oz)

But I also want you know that, at certain Walmart stores, apparently only Caramel Toffee (the pink-toned palette) has a slot in the Wet n Wild display:

Display #2: Wet n Wild Coloricon Contouring Palettes at Walmart
Caramel Toffee (no slot for Dulce De Leche)
(retail: $3.93 each, 0.46 oz)

Reader @macgl0sschick on Instagram kindly shared this pic above of the display she found at her Walmart. As you can see, there is only a slot for Caramel Toffee here, and next to it is a slot for the permanent highlighter Reserve Your Cabana. So it looks like only certain Walmart locations will offer both shades of Contouring Palettes.

Keep reading for more photos and info...

Maria purchased Dulce De Leche and shared this pic with us:

These compacts are matte powders and Maria told me that this duo "applies smoothly with no cakey build-up" and that it reminds her of the Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kits (which will set you back a cool $48). She just posted a pic of herself wearing Dulce De Leche HERE, if you'd like to check it out.

Reader Nicole (@saucyfbaby on Instagram) purchased Caramel Toffee and kindly shared this pic:

I'd also like to call your attention to the fact that these contain 0.46 oz of product, which is HUGE. How huge? Well that's the exact same net weight as the Wet n Wild Bronzers, and you know how big those are!

I'm going to try my best to find out for you if these will eventually be available at other retailers (if you'll recall, the Fergie BB Creams were Walmart-exclusives at one point, but now they're at Walgreens). If I find out anything, you'll be the first to know.

Thanks so much, Maria, Nicole and @macgl0sschick, for the great sightings, pics and info. I really appreciate it!

  1. I bought one 2 days ago, and it's working great for me so far. :)

  2. OMG!!!!!! Need to find this for sure! Have been needing a new contour product.

  3. If Dulce De Leche is the lightest, it's still too dark for me :( It looks really lovely though and a bonus that it's matte.

    1. I'm pale too. But I think since the powders are matte they could be mixed to make a good color.

    2. That's a good idea and at less than $4 it's worth a try. Thank you :-)

    3. I have trouble with contour shades being too dark too but I recently discovered using a light hand and a duo fiber brush (like the small stippling brush from ELF at Target) really does the trick! I recently ordered NYX Taupe blush from Ulta because I hear that's a great natural contour shade... wanted their light matte bronzer but it was sold out in store and online. I guess I won't be getting this WnW product if it is Walmart exclusive because I despise Walmart and refuse to shop there... lol.

    4. I'm using the NYX Taupe right now. It does a decent job, but it seems I have to use quite a bit. My skin must be weird. I do plan on buying this duo and giving it a try.

    5. @Kelly, it's not a very pigmented powder. I use NYX Taupe, and I really have to scrub into it. (at least, with the old version. Haven't tried the new "HD" version.

  5. This looks really nice! I liked Reserve Your Cabana a lot but mine shattered so I think I got rid of it. I hope its not just at Wallmart!

  6. Omg I can't wait to find these! I hope there's a version suitable for WOC

  7. conturing confuses me... Do you put this under your foundation are over. Or is this in stead of wearing foundation?

    1. You usually put it over foundation. You can find various tutorials on youtube on where to apply the light and dark shades.

    2. Contouring goes over foundation. You use the darker color to create shadows, like under the cheekbones and use the light color to bring the planes of your face forward, like the top of your cheekbones or down the bridge of the nose. Contouring can turn a round face into a sculpted, more angular face if done correctly. Look it up on You Tube. there are tons of great videos! Good luck!

  8. I got the Dulce de Leche and it is the lightest of the two. There's not a whole lotta difference between the two, except Caramel Toffee's highlighter is pale matte pink instead of pale yellow.

  9. None of the Walmart stores here carry WnW. Hope Walgreens or CVS gets them!

  10. Hmm didn't know about this, didn't think Walmart carried WnW...

  11. Picked this up today after reading this post during my lunch hour. Thanks Gianna! ;)
It is a Walmart exclusive. It's stated on the display. I got the only color there, the darker one called Carmel Toffee. It's lovely. Both colors are matte and the darker color has a slight gray tone that's perfect for contouring. I broke it out in the parking lot and applied it with a sponge from my powder compact. Beautiful! Love it!

  14. Shoot. I rarely go to Walmart and this sounds awesome. I'm no master of contouring but this would be an affordable way to practice.
Are you going to be reviewing any of the other new WnW stuff soon, G? I've bought a couple new things but am curious about so much of the new offerings.

  15. I picked up Caramel Toffee, and it the coverage is very light on me using a dry brush (I have a medium dark skintone). I'm new to contouring, though, so I may be using too light of a hand. For less than $4, it seemed like a great way to try contouring out. Looking forward to playing with it some more.

  16. My Walmart only carried Caramel Toffee as well but its looks like it will go well with my complexion. Its less than $4 too :D

  17. I've discovered that it's buildable and goes on darker, quicker if you use a denser brush (vs. a fluffy powder-type brush). I use the E.L.F. angled brush with the black handle and it works great. Got that at Walmart as well!

  18. At my Walmart they only carry the dulce de leche. I haven't tried it on my face yet, but swatched it and it seems nice! I'm going to try the highlight as an undereye setting powder since it's more of a yellow tone and I prefer a shimmery highlight for my cheeks

  19. I saw a place for it one slot and not sure which one it was but they were cleaned out of it and all the bronzers. They have been out of Elf brushes for awhile now too. Been looking for some that they r sold out of for a week now. Drives me crazy they r not restocked. Also trying to get Walking on eggshells and the purple 8pan and the comfort pallet. No luck. All sold out. Think maybe I need to send them a message asking why and when. They can't keep a lot of things stocked in groceries too. We shop there a lot. Not a lot if ither choices in a smaller town but a big state University here. Two Walmarts one carries a lot more than the other. Which is usually better stocked than the other. But not lately. I wish Target would come here. But heard from a reliable source they r not because we have two Walmarts. Just a soap box. Thanks.

  20. So frustrated wit the lack of availability. I actually didn't even know Wal-mart carried Wet n Wild. The only Wal-Mart anywhere near me has never stocked any Wet n Wild products, so I guess I'll never get my hands on this unless they decide to expand to other retailers.

  21. I just bought the Caramel Toffee palette a little over a week ago and I **love** it! It feels creamy to the touch (I had to double check that it wasn't a cream - it felt that creamy to me) and it goes on perfect. It's doesn't have "severe" pigmentation, which makes it goof-proof, IMO. I've tried a few other contouring/highlighting products, such as Nyx's Wonder Stick, that fell in the "eh, it's okay" range of cosmetics love. This product falls into the "where have you been all my life" range.

It doesn't create a "Hey, I'm a Kardashian" look (at least not with normal application), but it does define my face in a way that is comfortable for real life. My thoughts on contour fall into two general categories: 1) awesome for black-and-white photography, and 2) real life, every day makeup. This product definitely falls into the second category for me (although I haven't tried it using a heavy hand when applying it).

I'm not positive, but it seems like more Wal-Mart's are carrying this item. The one I usually go to doesn't sell any Wet n Wild products, but the newer Neighborhood Market Wal-Mart does. Not sure if there is a market segregation between these two stores (they are about 10-12 miles apart and in different neighborhood demographics as far as home prices and other socioeconomic markers.

I'm so glad I kept searching for this product after reading about it here. It may very well go down as my favorite new product of 2015.
