To kick things off, my pal Nicole (@brackett0701 on Instagram) spotted the new Jordana Modern Mattes at her local Kmart this week--these are the ones that Jordana posted this sneak peek of back in October--and was nice enough to share some pics with us. Take a look!

09 Matte Dare, 10 Matte Pretty, 11 Matte Caliente, 12 Matte Style
I love that these twist all the way down into the tube (because I always seem to hit cap when I'm opening and closing those types of tubes). And how pretty are these colors? I cannot wait to try some--especially at this price.
Have you spotted the new Jordana Modern Mattes in your area yet? I don't know if these will also be at Walgreens--I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm pretty sure these are new, permanent additions to the Jordana line-up, but if I hear differently you'll be the first to know.
Thanks again, Nicole, for the great sighting and pics. I really appreciate it!
Also, I would love it if you could do some swatches of the rest of the colors.
ReplyDeleteJordana always has the prettiest colors and lots of wearable shades, even the brighter ones. Hopefully these have a nice formula.
ReplyDeleteCool. ..good find. Gonna have to take a tRip to Kmart and look for these.
ReplyDeleteThe color selection looks nice! I'm anxious to see some swatches and reviews.
ReplyDeleteI hope these come to walgreens sooner than later because there aren't any kmarts in Texas.
ReplyDeleteIf you are in Houston we have Kmart here
DeleteUgh I know! I feel like walgreens never adds anything to their existing display though. I think maybe HeB carries Jordana but I could be wrong
DeleteI'm in Dallas and we also don't have any HEBs 😑
DeleteKilleen,TX and I believe in Portland as well have KMART stores. Hoping Walgreens stores carry these lipsticks. I heard HEB was no longer going to sell Jordana cosmetics.😞
DeleteI want to get to Kmart so badly and find these. Sadly it won't happen until Saturday if I'm lucky!
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to trying these! Jordana has surprised me with how good some of their products are.
ReplyDeleteFinally the heard my wishes, saw some shades there tempting
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that these should be at walgreens by january. I am a beauty advisor and I noticed these in the paperwork tonight when I was working. :)
ReplyDeleteI can see that I may have a trip to Kmart in my near future. I can see Matte Dare, Matte Classy, and Matte Style being at the top of my lists!
ReplyDeleteI'm both thrilled and going "noooo!!!! my poor wallet" at the same time. At least Jordana's pretty affordable, though.
ReplyDeletei wonder how these will compare to the new milani matte lipstick shades
ReplyDeleteFound these at my local Wags tonight and picked up Matte Tease and a new Wet'n'Wild Fergie matte. The Jordana one is okay, but it is drying. But the Fergie one is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHey just left my local Walgreens they have the collection as well.
ReplyDeleteBought mine at Walgreens last night (Portland, OR area) and they are quite nice. Smooth, creamy, and definitely feel much nicer on the lips than other matte lipsticks I've owned. Going back to get more shades this weekend! There is a very slight vanilla scent to them, but not too noticeable to me.
ReplyDeleteI found these this morning, on some top-shelf display. (I'm glad I'm 5'6", so I could reach!) I picked up three -- Bare, Pretty and Tease -- at $2.49 a pop. Very pretty. They feel nice, not drying, and there's no strong scent or flavor either. I might go get a couple more.
ReplyDeleteWhat store did you find them in?
DeleteI've got matte blush on right now.. it's been a few hours. They remind me very much of the Maybelline mattes with perhaps a slightly thinner formula. Blotted it has very little transfer and has sat nicely on the lips with next to no wear, I haven't eaten but I have been drinking water from a bottle (no transfer). Very comfortable, even after a few hours still feels smooth and slightly moist, similar to chapstick. Did not cling to the lips in a weird way, and it's a nude which is usually more prone to do so. The only negative I can see is the smell/taste, it has a slightly earthy flavor.. not nasty but not pleasant either. I don't think the pigmentation is quite as high as the Maybelline either, that could be a plus or minus depending on your preference. I will be going back for more I think, hoping to find swatches online. I found mine at Kmart.
ReplyDeleteFound these today at Walgreens. I was excited about these, so I had to buy one. I ended up getting 05 Matte Classy. I wanted to like this SO BAD, but eh, it's not great. It was very hard and waxy, and as such, I found it difficult to put on. Once on, it was sticky and wanted to ball up in the crevices of my lips. It also has a fairly strong, old-school lipstick smell. Maybe Classy is the dud color? My experience with this just seems to be the complete opposite of what others are saying. Also,I think the wonderful, buttery texture, staying power, and rich color of the Zoya matte red lipstick may have spoiled me for all other matte lipsticks. Still though, I am going to keep trying to make the Jordana work. I may even buy another darker color to see if I like it better if I ever see it on sale.
ReplyDeleteI found these at my local Walgreens and I must say- I've never been so disappointed in a drugstore product! I got the shade Matte Dare, and it is SO incredibly dry! It clings to dry spots I didn't even know I had. The texture is so dry and difficult to apply, it's like rubbing a crayon on your lips! Maybe I just got a dud, maybe this specific shade is a dud. I don't really know, but very disappointing :(
ReplyDeleteCould you please put a link to purchase them online cuz they aren't available yet in my local drugstore Thanks in advance
