New Revlon "Mystery" Lip Color

Over the past two weeks, several of you have mentioned to me that there was a mysterious new Revlon lip color featured in the Rite Aid ad for the week of 9/14 - 9/20 (thank you to everyone who took the time to point this out to me!). If you didn't see last week's Rite Aid ad, here's a screenshot:

Notice the pink tube in the middle of the photo? This is not a Super Lustrous gloss, nor is it a Colorburst gloss (both of those glosses have black caps--in fact, I believe that all current Revlon glosses have black caps). And the cap on this mystery product has a little "diamond" on the tip.

I enlarged the photo a bit and you can see that it says "Revlon" on the cap (at first I thought maybe it was a mistake and that this this was a Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Gloss, but no). I have no idea what this new lip color is all about--is it a gloss? A liquid lipstick? A hybrid-type product? I'm trying to think of another Revlon lip color that has silver packaging, and the only things I can come up with in the CURRENT Revlon line-up are the Balm Stains and the other jumbo lip pencils by Revlon (the twist-up end of those pencils is silver). Could this be something related to those??

    The color reminds me of Breast Cancer Awareness month.. Could it be a promotional?

      Maybe! But if my memory serves me correctly, past BCA collections have been in the regular packaging, with either repromoted shades or special shades in standard packaging. But maybe they're doing something special this year? Hum...

    I saw these at Target yesterday, a full display. I noticed that they looked different, but didn't take a closer look. I'll be sure to do so next time I visit!
