I tend to reserve the words "breaking beauty news" for posts that are a REALLY big deal around here, and this is one of those times! But let me back up, in case you're new to the blog...
Back in October of 2012, I posted about a new mini-jar of Vaseline Lip Therapy called Rosy Lips, which is tinted with a soft pink color and has a light, rose fragrance (not to be confused with the plain and cocoa butter formulas which you can pretty much find everywhere). Rosy Lips has been in the UK for quite some time now, but it's been VERY difficult to find here in the US, and I still get questions to this day as to where it can be purchased in the US.
Well this morning, longtime reader Fatima (@fatima19880 on Instagram) shared with me that she just spotted Rosy Lips AT WALGREENS! Check it out:

Vaseline Rosy Lips Lip Therapy at Walgreens
(retail: $1.99, 0.25 oz)
(retail: $1.99, 0.25 oz)
I asked Fatima if these were located next to the Vaseline lotions (in many stores, the mini Lip Therapy jars are located in the lotion aisle, next to the Vaseline body lotions) and she said that they were actually in an end-cap display all by themselves. So if you go out looking for this one, be sure to check the end-caps!
I hope that those of you who have been looking and waiting for this are happy about this sighting! I will most definitely pick one up and review it when I find it.
Thanks so much, Fatima, for the great news (and pic)!!
So now I have to have one. Thanks a lot, G.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Well you are not alone (I literally still get emails to this day asking about this, ever since my post last October!).
DeleteIs this the kind that's sold in a round tin in the UK? I loved that stuff when I lived in Scotland.
ReplyDeleteYep!
DeleteYay! I can't tell you how happy that makes me. Thank you G!
DeleteI saw this at Target this past Saturday (Southern CA) right next to the normal and cocoa butter formulas :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, at Target too?!?! Thank you so much for the tip, Kellie!!!
DeleteI picked mine up at Target too - and you're right - this is breaking beauty news - because it's great - you get that awesome soft Vaseline feel with a little touch of pink.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about this! Nothing works better for my lips than Vaseline. I use it religiously. Thanks, G!
ReplyDeleteG, I picked this up yesterday at Walgreens and I was extremely excited, however, for me, it's a big ol' fat bust! It is awesome because it's Vaseline, which I love, but there is absolutely zero color payoff on my lips. So, I'm wondering what other people who've tried this think?
ReplyDeleteI saw a whole lot of them at Big Lots last weekend. I didn't know they were a big deal - I am still working through my giant jar of Vaseline for the last four years - otherwise I'd have definitely picked them up.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Rose scented balms are my favourite, even better that is comes from Vaseline.
ReplyDeleteI've actually had a ton of trouble finding the cocoa butter ones lately. Maybe it's because I wasn't looking in the lotion aisle! Thanks for that tip!
ReplyDeleteI did finally find a couple, so I scooped them up.
I'll keep my eye out for this "new" formula. I love rose everything!
Can't wait to pick one up when I see them, I think the small vaseline jar is super cute. :) I use the Vaseline Lip Therapy Cherry at the moment. My lips are pretty pigmented so don't know if the color will show up but can't wait to smell and try it.
ReplyDeleteWow, finally! I love tinted lip balms, so this is a must-buy for me.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm too much of a germaphobe, but I can't bring myself to use any balm that requires me to apply it with my fingers.
ReplyDeleteI'm a germaphobe too, and I used to use cotton swabs to apply my potted lip balms, but then I found something I prefer even more--bamboo toothpicks from the dollar store! I just sort of skim the product by holding the toothpick at an angle, and it picks up enough product to apply to my lips, no problem! I of course use the side of the toothpick to apply the balm to my lips...it works like a charm and now I don't blow through my Q-tips as quickly. :)
DeleteI bought a pack of the beauty spatulas to use for face lotions, foundations, and lip balms like these. They're sold at CVS for $3bucks and some change, but care that with you if you're a germapobe, not at problem.
DeleteI love the cocoa butter one and I have back ups of it, and will definitely pick this rose scent one up. I like the Nivea Rose Rasberry lip butter so I think I will like this too.
DeleteHey G!
ReplyDeleteJust picked it up tonight. It is wonderful. It gives a slight pink color (my lips are already naturally pink). But this enhances them. It is a little softer so go easy when picking some up in the tub. I may put mine in the fridge to stiffen it up a bit. The rosey scent tastes nice. Its not my favorite scent but it is my new favorite lip balm for sure!!
I bought one and keep losing it, haha. It's so tiny.
ReplyDeleteI swear I've looked for this is every.single.store. I've entered since reading your article last year!
ReplyDeleteUgh, dying here!! Checked my Walgreens and Target. No luck :(
ReplyDeleteMust have! I've already finished two of the cocoa butter ones which is amazing enough on its own. Love these and the tiny jars are the cutest
ReplyDeleteVaseline's website actually has this listed on their product finder page. I didn't have any luck finding a store near me with stock, but maybe it will help someone else...

I'm so glad that I am not alone about not wanting to apply lipstick/glosses with my fingers. I am a true germaphobe and my family & friends get on me about it all the time. Thanks for the admissions ladies. Now I can show them that I am in good company! Lol
ReplyDeleteI found it in the lotion aisle hanging on a little cardboard stand. $2.99 at Walgreens in Houston, tx
ReplyDeleteFound it today at the Walgreens in Brooklyn on 3rd Ave in Bay Ridge. $2.29. Smells soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI found it last night at my local Walgreens. $1.99 and was on a separate hanging display with some cocoa ones. I was leaving thinking my store didn't have it when my daughter spotted it :)
ReplyDeleteI found this at my Walgreens, sitting randomly on the makeup check-out counter. I really, really like it! I don't see any difference in the color of my lips, but the texture is great. I also enjoy the slight scent of rose. It's subtle but nice.
