Spotted: NEW Essie Summer 2013 Sleek Sticks Collection

Essie has taken their Sleek Sticks to a whole other level! Remember the last round from December 2012?  Well check out these new textured designs that longtime reader Tara just spotted at Rite Aid!

Sea Me Shine!
Tara writes:
Sea Me Shine - these are a really vibrant aquamarine blue with a grid of silver mirror-like dots and dots the same color as the base.  I could feel the dots were lightly raised.

Shoot For The Moon
Tara writes:
Shoot For The Moon - these are a solid bright cobalt blue with a raised burst design in tiny shiny silver dots around the cuticle.  The tiny dots were lightly raised.

Small Pleasures - these are really cool!  The design looks like fine openwork crochet sewn to a sheer fabric backing!  The design is actually raised (not sure if my iPod Touch captured it though).  The base looks like a sheer raspberry jelly and the opaque bright raspberry design on top looks like it's made out of the tiniest red shoestring licorice ever!  Really cute!

Croc Madame
Tara writes:
Croc Madame - saved the best for last!  :)  These are a gorgeous Tiffany-blue kind of shade in a crocodile skin pattern.  The pattern is raised a little and it feels like touching snakeskin (even though it's suppose to be crocodile skin, lol).  These were my favorite.  They just look so cool.

I haven't worn nail stickers in a while but Croc Madame and Small Pleasures are calling my name. Thoughts? Have you spotted these in your area yet?

Thanks so much, Tara, for this sighting and all the great pics and info!

  1. I know my comment is late as heck, but I just found all four of these designs at my local Kmart for $2.62 each. I have worn many different brands of nail stickers/appliques/polish strips and I am slightly annoyed by these by Essie. They need to stick (no pun intended lol) with nail polish because their stickers are not the greatest. The "Shoot for the Moon" design would be the worst of the four for me, mainly because of it's smooth design and resistance to "mold" to the natural curve of the nail bed. This, in turn, causes the design to crease terribly. The design is gorgeous, just not effective in strip form. The other 3 designs seem to mold nicely to the nail bed, because of their texture. The bumps and creases already in the design give it more "bendability" and it shapes nicely to nail. I absolutely LOVE the "sea me shine" as I am a dark blue fanatic, and the silver sparkles are perfect!
