One of the new scents for 2013 from Bodycology, Sweet Love is now available at Walmart and all of the products in this range retail for $3.97 each. I received the Nourishing Body Cream for review recently, and today I'd like to share my thoughts with you.
NEW Bodycology Nourishing Body Cream in Sweet Love
(retail: $3.97, 8.0 oz)

This body cream comes with a standard flip-top lid and the cream itself is quite thick, though not difficult to squeeze out of the tube:
The cream itself has very pale pink tint to it:
I've reviewed several of the Bodycology Nourishing Body Creams in the past, and this one has the exact same consistency as all of the others I've tried. It's thick, rich and creamy and spreads nicely on the skin. These creams do leave a protective coating behind on the skin, which I find to feel smooth and a bit waxy (not sticky or greasy at all). I think that they do a good job of moisturizing very dry skin, and I would reserve them for when your skin is dry, since they could be a bit heavy on skin that's already fairly hydrated.
As for the scent of Sweet Love, I would say that if you love Bath & Body Works Pink Chiffon (which is probably my favorite BBW scent of the past five years), then you will probably love Bodycology Sweet Love. To my nose, they smell extremely similar. I get the airy whipped cream note, as well as the soft rose petals in this fragrance. For me, this is pretty much the equivalent of wearing a pink cashmere sweater--it's a super feminine, super soft and super cozy fragrance.
The scent of this lotion lingers on my skin for about an hour, which I think is pretty good for a lotion. I would call the scent medium--it's not super strong, yet it's not barely-there either.
It's hard for me to say that this is an exact dupe of Pink Chiffon because I only have the Pink Chiffon body mist and it's hard to compare a lotion to a body mist (the bases are different, which makes the overall scents a bit different). But I do find them very, very similar so, if you're a Pink Chiffon fan, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one.
FINAL VERDICT: If you're looking for a thick, rich body cream that doesn't feel sticky or greasy, I think Bodycology Nourishing Body Creams are a nice, affordable option. The scent of Sweet Love is very reminiscent of BBW Pink Chiffon, so if you know you love that fragrance, you'll probably love this one too. It's a soft, very feminine fragrance that I love quite a bit, so I definitely intend to pick up the body mist soon.
Have you tried any Bodycology Sweet Love products yet? Thoughts?

ReplyDeletePlease let me know what you think if you get it, Robin! ;)
DeleteIt's also got super similar packaging to pink chiffon haha :) And the pale pink color of the lotion is similar.
ReplyDeleteThe whole time I'm reading this I cannot help but think of the Anita Baker song Sweet Love, lol.
