I mentioned earlier today that 2013 is probably going to be the year of innovative at-home hair color. The one new collection that I've heard the most buzz about in the last few months is Garnier Olia, which I believe has been available in Europe for a while. If you have no idea what this line is all about, check out this quick video:
I spotted the display at Rite Aid the other day (actually, when you scan your phone on the display, it directs you to the video above). Keep reading for lots of pics...
I've never actually used any hair color products by Garnier, but I can't wait to try this one. Thoughts?
I saw this at CVS the other day and thought it was so cool! I love new hair dye products even though I am trying not to dye my hair, and when I do I use salon products. I also didn't see a variety of colors at my store, only four.
ReplyDeletei usually use Clairol natural instincts 23r, but i really want to try the red one of this hair color. i hear this stuff is suppose to be really good, because of the oil they use.
ReplyDeleteWow, this really reminds me of L'Oreal INOA professional haircolor. From the technology to the packaging and even the name. Awesome!Seems like even more professional technologies are trickling down to the mass-product sector.
ReplyDeleteagh i wonder if they have that nice fusia redish color at the beginning of the video available? i hate the smell of aumonia and the reaction i get when i dye it with regular dyes. if it restores hair im all in!
ReplyDeleteIf I could get the same shade of red that is shown in the commercial, I'd TOTALLY be down for trying this! I just saw this display at RiteAid last night ... I should've actually looked at it lol ... (gives me reason to return lol)
ReplyDeleteI bought it in 9.0 I'll let you know how it goes
ReplyDeleteI used Garnier 100% Color 415 Soft Mahogany Brown for a couple years, it was AMAZING. Super rich color, blended well with the roots on recoloring. After that was discontinued, I tried a few other brands (including Garnier Nutrisse) and was never happy. I stripped my hair and am finally back to my natural dark blonde without any unintentional ombre left.
ReplyDeleteReally fighting the urge to pick this up, particularly since there's a shade called "4.15 Dark Soft Mahogany."
Did it say how much it cost?
ReplyDeleteLooks cool but probably has PPD so I'll have to stick with messy Manic Panic. That red in the video is really pretty and so tempting.
ReplyDeleteSadly I don't think that magenta/red exists in their line. Sad =[ I totally would have bought a box and redid my magenta hair. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the display at CVS and was disappointed by the ingredients. Their advertising touts these natural flower oils but it's mostly just petroleum (mineral oil). The other oils are very close to the bottom of the list. There's probably more fragrance than actual flower oils in the product.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this! I have always found the various Garnier hair color products to be very high-quality.
ReplyDeleteThis stuff is incredible. I went to their media event last night here in Toronto and was so intrigued by this product, and I don't even dye my hair!!! It smells like sunflowers, not like chemicals and has the creamiest texture. Great color choices too
ReplyDeleteIt's $9.99 at Rite Aid. I'm not sure if all the schedules for new planograms are the same, but our hair color aisle is due to be re-set in February.
ReplyDeleteI think the red(s) shown in the vid are available in the UK versions. The UK site for Olia seems to have a lot more red options then the US site. :\
ReplyDeleteI used the second to last color. Dark brown, I believe. I normally buy my hair color at Sallys but wanted something that would prevent so much hair fallout. This seemed to work. I liked that it didn't dye around my ears and hairline. I didn't love the way it made my hair feel after drying it but my husband commented on how pretty and shiny it looked (without me asking for feedback). I haven't washed it yet after the color application so I can't comment on that yet.
ReplyDeleteI just want to point out that the red/Burgundy shade is dark intense auburn
ReplyDeleteIt was quite a surprise for me lol
