So I was doing some research on pH levels in skincare the other day, and it hit me. The words "Propa pH" came into my mind and I thought: "Was there actually a skincare brand called Propa PH back in the 90s??"
So I did a little googling and BAM:
Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers this brand?!?!
You can get the full line of Silkience haircare and even body washes at Dollar Tree! Here's the brand's website if you want to know what the bottles look like now:
I remember the ads! Never tried the product, though. Takes me back. There's a Pinterest page on 1980s makeup, which I love. Tickle deodorant. Kissing Koolers (I know I had some of those), Dial-A-Lash mascara, and plenty of others. Now I know why I never had much allowance saved!
Heck no! I used it in my terns! Loved 10 0 6 also. Remember the Bonnie Bell tinted face gel? That was my first blush! It was avtotsl precursor to Benetint!
Oh yeah, I remember that too! And when I first started getting acne my mom bought me Ten-O-Six, which likely just irritated my skin even more, since as I recall it had some menthol or something like that in it, and also probably lots of alcohol. Memories. I remember the old Salon Selectives ads as well.
I used the wash and the toner when I was in 7th grade. Used up my bottles and never went back for more...not for me. No worries, I was happy to experiment w products anyway, lol.
I remembered watching the commercials during middle school. My mom tried getting me onto acne products because I broke out like crazy! I even tried using Neutrogena but it made it worse. If I would use this stuff, imagine the fun my skin would have with its sensitivity.
Bonnie bell still does the gel bronzer! I have been mixing it with my face lotion everyday for ten years (since high school) and just bought a new bottle a few months ago at a Meijers in Michigan.
I remember this stuff. I love watching these old commercials. Out of nowhere the other day, my husband says this in conversation "Hefty, hefty, hefty. Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy.". LOL.
Haha, yes I remember this...and since I live in New England, that is actually how people would pronounce the word "proper" , making the whole thing funnier.
I totally remember it! I also remember Silkience hair care, Ten-O-Six lotion from Bonnie Bell...
ReplyDeleteBoth of those brands are still very much around!

Ten-O-Six was relaunched a while back (I hear the formula is a bit different now). Here's what the bottles look like:

ReplyDeleteI remember the commercial, but not the product.
ReplyDeleteI loved Propa PH! It was the only thing that worked for me. I wish it was still around. I've tried similar things, but they just aren't Propa.
ReplyDeleteI remember it! I can't remember if I ever tried it though.
ReplyDeleteI remember using Propa pH because my mom thought I said I used Preparation H on my face! :)

ReplyDeleteOf course I do!

ReplyDeleteYou are not crazy! I totally remember this brand too!
