I already did a blog post about the importance of Small Business Saturday, but I wanted to take a moment to reiterate that today (as well as any day) is a great time to shop at your local mom and pop stores for all of your retail needs. A few days ago, Mr. G and I went to the downtown district of Chula Vista, here in San Diego, which is filled to the brim with small businesses. Aside from lovely tea shops, restaurants, markets, etc., I fell absolutely in love with the window display of this wig shop:
Isn't this THE most fabulous window display ever?
I told Mr. G that I was going back on Saturday to buy this amazing peachy-coral B-52's wig. And I mean it. I'm getting that wig. Whenever my boyfriend's having a bad day, wouldn't it be great to disappear into the bedroom and reappear wearing it? How could you not smile seeing your significant other in that wig?!?
Keep reading for more fabulous wigs, and an awesome indie nail polish sale round-up...
I love this pink one too...
So whether you're buying things today from local indie retailers or doing some indie online shopping, I want to personally thank you for helping keep the diversity, creativity and originality of small businesses alive. Every penny counts!
PS: I found this awesome sale round-up of indie nail polish sales for Black Friday/Cyber Monday--give it a look--there are lots of goodies to be discovered!
Those are soooooooo pretty! I shopped at a locally owned thrift store since that's all we have here and I found a few jems :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, as soon as I saw that wig I too thought of Kate Pierson (B-52's). Gotta love the Peggy Bundy one too! I miss my pink hair now more than ever *le sigh*
ReplyDeleteBe sure to share a picture of you wearing the wig!
